Race 1
(2) NATIONAL SEELSTER drops in class and picks up leading driver Bartlett; that may be enough to turn this gelding's fortunes around. (1) PARNU HANOVER collapsed on the lead last out and could improve with a stalking trip. (7) CANBEC KINGKAZIMIR may have tailed off a bit but he does drop out of claimers and is one to consider underneath at a price.
Race 2
(2) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN finally gets needed post relief and faces a questionable field; time for the Tritton trainee to awaken. (6) ROCK N ROLL LEGACY was a good second to a classy rival upon shipping in; Bartlett's choice. (4) JENERAL PATTON steps back up in class off a game win.
Race 3
In a completely impossible race to figure out, I'll mess around with the three Down-under imports, in no particular order: (4) ALOTBETTOR N, (6) FCEE N and (8) NAUGHTY MARAVU N. Good luck.
Race 4
(1) BEAT THE DRUM goes for Allard now off the claim, draws best and should be controlling the action. (5) SPORTY SPOOK A debuts for Brittany Robertson off the claim and that barn has been clicking recently. (3) MAJOR BUCKS gets a negative driver change but he's been sharp.
Race 5
(3) ALWAYS AT MY PLACE followed up his Cup & Saucer disappointment with a sharp score at Tioga and the last time he was here he was nipped by Polak A, who is now a legit Open player; down the road. (4) MISTER DAYTONA N was overbet upon hiking to the top level last out; he should be better from this spot. (1) QUICK ASA TRICK N has speed and the best draw.
Race 6
(6) BIT OF A LEGEND N gets away from the eight hole tonight which automatically puts him into play; routine selecting. (3) POLAK A has been very sharp and is assigned a reasonable post; player. (7) SOMEWHERE IN L A always has to be considered and he should be a decent price.
Race 7
(1) MELMERBY BEACH has been pretty good since returning from vacation and although he's not the most reliable horse to take at a short price he really should get the job done here. (5) BAKERSFIELD takes a needed drop from the Open and should be on the move early. (2) RAMPAGE JACKSON was shuffled last out and finished evenly; he'll be close up throughout, perhaps on the lead.
Race 8
(5) GREAT VINTAGE hasn't been at his best recently but he picks up Sears tonight who may get along better with him. (1) SAPPHIRE CITY qualified back nicely and is always a player with this type. (9) BETTOREVER has had his moments over this track and could be a threat with a good departure from the second tier.
Race 9
(5) BLAISE MM HANOVER two-moved on his way to victory last week and he gets the best of the outside draw tonight; Sears' choice can repeat. (6) IDEAL JIMMY was very good here in two starts last month and he should be closer tonight. (7) MR D'S DRAGON has speed and fits with this type.
Race 10
(1) BLADE SEELSTER is on an insane form spree and he draws a great post again; one to beat. (4) NEWBIE is in a spot where he will fire from the gate and Bartlett will have him primed with a perfect trip. (5) MEMORY GAME is up on class off the claim and can be considered underneath.
Race 11
(2) RANCOUSY gets needed post relief and hit the board in his last three tries at this level. (1) ONE THROUGH TEN is a bonafide speed threat from the best post in a questionable field. (4) COWBOY TERRIER fits with these but his last two have been uninspiring.
Race 12
(4) NUCLEAR DRAGON was better in his last start after that atrocious effort two back and he meets a very soft NW20000 field in the finale. (1) CHACHING HANOVER was good in defeat last week at Philly and he ships into a very good spot; the favorite? (3) OH JOHNY B GOOD N is unproven with this type but at least he draws well.
