Race 1

(4) SPEAKING OUT hasn't shown much recently but maybe that's due to racing against tough competition; drop in class should help immensely. (2) PARKLANE EAGLE gets some post relief and this barn has sent out some live ones recently. (5) SETTLEMOIR has to awaken one of these days, doesn't he? Stratton drives tonight.

Race 2

(4) ALLSTAR PARTNER hiked to the Preferred last week and was not a player; he drops back in for a tag and is reunited with Bartlett. (7) CHEYENNE JEFFREY boucned back with a winning effort last out and he's always a threat at this level despite the post. (6) MOONLITEONTHEBEACH is in for a $40K price tonight and the veteran does have two recent wins.

Race 3

(5) GIVENUPDREAMING has a win and a narrow loss in his last two at this level and I would expect Stratton to have this one in the game early. (4) TAKE IT BACK TERRY is still a solid Saturday night horse and he returns from Philly off a win. (7) GOKUDO HANOVER beat lesser in his local return and he's good enough to handle the hike in class; only problem is the post.

Race 4

(1) THE WAYFARING MAN got a bit leg weary late after an eight-hole speed try last out; his prior local start he was awesome in defeat and the Burke trainee deserves top billing from the bst post. (4) TECHTOR HANOVER always makes money and the drop in class will help his cause. (3) REAL LUCKY N makes his second U.S. start for the Harmon barn and they had one race very well here the other night.

Race 5

(3) EDDARD HANOVER got jammed up in the pocket last out as the leader gave way; excuse that effort and give him another chance to take these coast-to-coast. (5) PHOTOBOMBR HANOVER has outraced his odds in his last four and he can be right there again with any luck. (4) SCOTCH MCEWAN stopped in the top choice's face after being used early; he's probably better from off the pace.

Race 6

(6) CAVIART LUCA was used in his quarter-move to the lead last week which likely sealed his fate; he will be a much better price tonight in this evenly-matched Open. (2) MORE THE BETTER N lands in a much better spot and I suspect he'll attract plenty of attention at the windows. (8) SUNFIRE BLUE CHIP returns locally after winning the Quillen at Harrington and looks for a third straight but has to contend with his eight-hole assignment.

Race 7

(6) NF HAPPENSTANCE is on her way to $250K banked this season and the mare could be tough if/when she makes the front. (3) TIGHT LINES didn't really fire last week; he's better than that. (4) DW'S NY YANK should be leaving the gate here which can set him up for a nice trip.

Race 8

(2) OUR ZAC WHITBY N was very game defeating a good NW20000 field last out and the recent import doesn't seem to face any killers here on the hike in class. (3) DREAM OUT LOUD N gets some post relief and figures to be more of a player. (8) GRATIAN HANOVER is a legit player with these and may have been my top choice if not for the poor post.

Race 9

(2) PROVEN DESIRE was a good second to a tiger last out and the Allard trainee seems sharp enough to handle these. (4) AMERICAN BOY N didn't offer up his best last week when he was forced uncovered; he can race better with a smoother trip. (5) CAPOZZO has been sharp for an extened period of time and figures to be a closing threat.

Race 10

(6) I'M SOME GRADUATE looked super two-moving for command and held gamely in 1:50 4/5 upon arrival; Burke trainee may be sharp enough to repeat and figures to offer the better price of the contenders. (3) EVENIN OF PLEASURE is clearly the one to beat from this spot but won't offer much value. (2) SOMEWHERE FANCY draws inside his main competition and should be able to land a share.
