Yonkers: Saturday 9/16 Analysis

Best Bet: FEEL THE NEED A (3rd)
Spot Play: SOMESIZESOMESTYLE (12th)
MEET STATS: 365 - 1033 / $1,990.00
BEST BETS: 53 - 88 / $171.90
Race 1
(2) PERSISTENT THREAT A had missed time prior to his U.S. debut off a scratched-sick line but he was driven like best and confidently handled to victory; he is clearly capable of repeating facing similar. (4) TWIN B SPEEDO raced decently as no match last out but did land a board spot; looks like he can leave the gate from this spot. (5) LETTUCERIPRITA A was second best to the top choice last out and now picks up Bartlett.
Race 2
(3) BET YOU was a solid winner here four back with Bartlett at the controls. (6) FCEE N raced very well in his U.S. debut missing a nose on the wire and obviously the import will be a player with this type. (4) LORD OF MISRULE hasn't been that good recently but he doesn't have much to beat here to land a share.
Race 3
(2) FEEL THE NEED A has raced well in all recent without a victory to show for it and now he lands a much-needed inside post; that 6/1 on the morning line is very generous. (2) EIGHTEEN obviously has the early speed to overcome the post but the current King of the $40K claimers will likely have to work harder tonight. (4) SPORTS BETTOR drops back down in class and was second best at this level last month.
Race 4
(1) ELWELL always gives a good accounting of himself, especially from inside posts, but he doesn't have the best win record; tough to take as the favorite but tough not to use. (4) GHOST PINE returns from a failed try at Freehold and he was facing better when last seen here. (8) CHEYENNE SEEBER was razor-sharp beating lesser in his last two; he can be considered despite another outside post.
Race 5
(2) WINGS OF ROYALTY lands in a winning spot tonight and should be handled accordingly. (4) CHARMED LIFE returns from Mohawk, where she has been racing well; classy Allard trainee is the main threat. (8) UP THE ALLEY has been very sharp up at Saratoga but he may be done in by the eight hole.
Race 6
(7) SHANE ADAM has transformed from a Monday night non-winners type to an Open handicap winner. Banca trainee will need some help from this spot but this is not a stellar field tonight and the price should be right. (5) COOPERSTOWN has been sharp recently and will be a threat if not roughed up too much early. (8) CAVIART LUCA is stuck outside again; does Brennan try firing from the gate?
Race 7
(4) PACING MAJOR N graduates to this level after making a very nice living versus conditioned types; Tritton import could be up to the task. (8) IDEAL JIMMY has taken three of four versus this type yet will still likely be a decent price from this tough starting spot. (2) SETTLEMOIR should be close up throughout; use underneath.
Race 8
(6) BUEN CAMINO never fired last out but he was racing well in prior starts; driver change here to Bartlett is interesting. (8) IN SECRET has been super since moving to the Burke barn and he looks like the one to beat despite his eight hole assignment. (4) MONEY MAVEN quietly goes about his business and makes money every start; threat to hit the ticket.
Race 9
(1) GALACTIC GALLEON N is just 2 for 41 over the last two seasons but he's been racing well for Vallee and he draws best here in a race with no standouts. (2) THAT'S MY OPINION goes for new connections off the claim and gets much-needed post relief. (6) CANBEC KINGKAZIMIR lands another outside post but he's a proven fit at this level and can land a share at a big price.
Race 10
(2) THISJETSABOOKIN has been super since shipping in and joining the DiDomenico barn; threat to take his third straight. (7) BLAISE MM HANOVER drops out of the Open 4YO level and is a player with his early speed. (1) NUCLEAR DRAGON has clearly been off his game of late and now he's entered for a $50K tag; interesting.
Race 11
(3) DREAM OUT LOUD N gets post relief and that effort two back where he was a solid second to The Real One would be good enough to beat these. (1) AMERICANPRIMETIME will try to take this field down the road and clearly he's talented enough to accomplish that. (4) SCOTT ROCKS looks for three straight and beat similar here recently.
Race 12
(2) SOMESIZESOMESTYLE has actually raced very well in his last number of starts while just a touch overmatched; he gets class relief tonight, a good post and picks up the leading driver. (4) THE REV also gets class relief and should he aggressively handled from this spot. (9) MELMERBY BEACH almost predictably fell on his face after taking all the money last week; we all know the talent is there but the inconsistency is maddening.
