Yonkers: Saturday 9/15 Analysis

Best Bet: ABNER THE GREAT (3rd)
Spot Play: LUCIANO N (5th)
MEET STATS: 386 - 1077 / $2,114.20
BEST BETS: 52 - 92 / $170.90
Race 1
(5) TWIN B SPEEDO failed to get involved last week versus better but was airborne the start prior versus similar; looks like Holland can get him into play earlier from this spot. (6) HEEZ ORL BLACK N is second start back at this level and is reunited with Bartlett. (2) DOJEA SOLO is a legit speed threat from the inside post but will the missed time affect him?
Race 2
(1) ROCK ON MOE returns locally in a very favorable spot and is a legit threat to take these wire to wire. (5) MATTAMERICAN hasn't been getting involved recently but does get a bit of post improvement; will we see some early speed tonight? (8) BETTOR ROCK ON N has been much better in his last two but faces a tall task from the worst post.
Race 3
(4) ABNER THE GREAT was a close second two back to a good rival then had no chance from the outside post last out; this looks like a very live spot for the Bongiorno trainee. (5) HIGHVIEW CONALL N shows a recent win at this level and is more accomplished than some others at this class. (2) HIGHLAND TARTAN is still winless on the season but has become an expert at saving ground and landing minor shares.
Race 4
(2) PROVEN DESIRE faces a much softer version of NW20000 tonight and the Allard trainee should find a way to get it done. (3) CENTURY CHURCHILL has some good recent efforts and will never be too far back from this spot. (1) THE LUNCH PAIL took care of business versus lesser but is a bit trip-dependent which makes him tough to play sometimes at a short price.
Race 5
(4) LUCIANO N basically toured the track in his last two from the eight hole but he gets a legit starting spot tonight and he's raced better when inside. (2) ELWELL was totally uninvolved last out but he's proven capable with these. (1) SOME PLAYA also gets post relief and could be in line for a live trip.
Race 6
(8) WILL TAKE CHARGE is clearly best here and deservedly assigned post eight, but no place or show wagering...give me a break!!! Could he be auditioning for the International Trot? (7) GRUDEN was Sears' choice and has been in razor-sharp form. (4) FASHION CREDITOR is clearly better at lower levels but aside from the top choice this Open didn't come up that strong.
Race 7
(4) GRATIAN HANOVER was awesome two back, then was post-compromised last out; moving in a few spots on the gate will certainly help his cause tonight. (5) ALWAYS AT MY PLACE has had a series of tough trips recently in the Open and now takes a needed drop in class; big player, and the possible favorite. (3) ROCK THE NITE has been very good in three starts since arriving at Yonkers.
Race 8
(3) DOCTOR BUTCH draws inside what can be considered his main competition and the classy veteran figures to have the tactical edge. (4) CAVIART LUCA bumps back up to the Open level looking for three straight. (5) MORE THE BETTER N has looked good facing top-notch competition since arriving in the U.S. and now the Croghan trainee gives the half-mile a try; player.
Race 9
(5) SCOTCH MCEWAN has put in very few poor efforts since shipping into Yonkers and he gets a decent enough midpack post to do some serious damage. (4) EDDARD HANOVER drops into this age-restricted event for Burke and this may be a perfect classification for the 4-year-old. (2) MACHIAVELLI looked to be a bit overmatched at this level last week but performed okay; consider from the good post.
Race 10
(3) ORILLIA JOE took the money from the eight hole last week and didn't disappoint and the veteran gets a free ride at this level from a better post looking to repeat. (2) BARIMAH A hasn't done much recently but does get much-needed post relief. (5) ALOTBETTOR N is capable with these and should be included.
Race 11
(3) CANBEC KINGKAZIMIR had no real chance last week upon moving to the $40K claiming level and he moves inside and faces a field with plenty of question marks; worth using if the price is right. (4) CHEYENNE JEFFREY has tailed off but certainly hasn't been bad; playable. (1) IMA TRAGEDY N moves all the way back inside after having the eight hole last week with a trailer and obviously went nowhere.
Race 12
(1) MACH IT SO dominated at this level three back and he has too much back class to ignore; short price looming in the finale. (3) TRAVEL PLAYLIST had been super prior to that effort last out; post relief helps. (8) HUG THE WIND N was Bartlett's choice but is stuck outside; still usable, however.
