Best Bet: DREAM OUT LOUD N (5th) Spot Play: SPORTY SPOOK A (3rd) MEET STATS: 314 - 884 / $1,781.10 BEST BETS: 44 - 75 / $144.10 Race 1 (3) SOMEWHERE IN L A actually gets to drop in class off a victory and while I wouldn't bet the farm on him he really is supposed to win in this spot. (1) POLAK A shouldn't get away any worse than the pocket and he should be right there at the end. (5) TRAVEL PLAYLIST was jammed in the pocket and never got clear last week ending his modest winning streak; he loses Bartlett to the top choice and can used in exotics. (6) TORRID BROMAC N is a quality animal but he hasn't proven he can hack it from outside posts; can Bartlett coax some early speed out of him? (1) VAPOUR N has raced well here in the past and gets a driver switch to Dube. Race 3 (2) SPORTY SPOOK A was deceptively sharp in his last two but was done in by poor post positions; must respect him with the move back inside. (4) CARRACCI HANOVER may have tailed off a bit in his last few but is still obviously a player with this type. (3) STOLEN CAR enters a new barn via claim looking for three straight and he stays at the same level. Race 4 (4) LACHIE MAGUIRE N elected to stay in last week and it cost him as he shook free too late; prior efforts were all good and he deserves top billing in a race with a lot of question marks. (3) SOHO WALLSTREET A returns locally and has raced well with better in the past. (5) YS LOTUS has always been the inconsistent type but his last race here was really good. Race 5 (1) DREAM OUT LOUD N drops in class, draws best and will look to take this field coast to coast. (3) LUCIANO N should be close up throughout and can be second best. (2) MIDWAY ISLAND failed to get involved in his last two from outside posts; obviously the move inside helps. Race 6 (7) EVENIN OF PLEASURE returns to Yonkers off his sparkling score in the Gerrity and there's no reason to think he won't bring his 'A' game tonight. (4) PACING MAJOR N is reunited with Stratton and perhaps the couple of weeks off will help him. (6) ALWAYS AT MY PLACE was a good second to a classy rival last out and the Burke trainee has some tactical speed. Race 7 (4) MCERLEAN has remained sharp for an extended period of time and lands a decent enough midpack post; veteran can get it done with a live trip. (5) SIR PUGSLEY has raced very well since moving to the Burke barn; consider. (7) TJ BLAST lands a tough outside assignment and this will be a true test for class here; will Bartlett be firing? Race 8 (3) BRAVE WORLD was a solid and well-meant winner last out for the Allard barn and he lands inside his main competition; he may be sharp enough to take another. (5) SUMMER SIDE finally got that elusive victory last week and the Schnittker trainee may prove to be a nice fit at this 4-year-old Open level. (4) ROCK N TONY hasn't been that impressive since shipping in for Burke; don't accept a short price. Race 9 (2) IMA TRAGEDY N didn't fire at all trying to come from off the pace into rated fractions last week; Lance Hudson trainee can work out a much better trip from this spot. (6) CHEYENNE JEFFREY bumped up to this level last week and was valiant in defeat; sharp sort must be used. (3) TENACIOUS ONE A gets tested for class but he has good early speed to set up a nice trip. Race 10 (3) RUN ONEOVER N did not disgrace himself at all when hiked up to the Open Handicap; he's now back at the level of his sharp 1:50 4/5 win two back. (1) GIVENUPDREAMING also gets class relief, draws best and is obviously a player. (2) WESTERN DYNASTY faltered on the front end last week after setting fast fractions; Banca trainee is inside again and should be close up throughout. Race 11 (2) AMERICAN BOY N put in a big effort on the rim to be third best to a couple of tough ones last week and he may offer a slightly better price than the logical (1) MISTER DAYTONA N. The latter has raced well in practically every local start this year and looms large from the rail. (4) MACH TIME N bottomed from the pocket in a very disappointing effort last out; we know he's better than that. [DRF HARNESS NEWSLETTER: Sign Up for the FREE DRF Harness Newsletter.
