Best Bet: DOWNBYTHESEASIDE (9th)

MEET STATS: 328 - 937 / $1,802.20
BEST BETS: 46 - 80 / $154.40
Race 1
(1) SOMEWHERE FANCY gets the potent combo of class and post relief tonight. The switch to Sears doesn't hurt, either. (3) ROCK N ROLL LEGACY ships from the smaller tracks in Ontario while in raging form and he joins Team Bongiorno; obvious respect. (4) THREE OF CLUBS blew away cheaper on the front end two back with Brennan driving.
Race 2
(1) GIVENUPDREAMING draws best in a field with plenty of question marks and he jogged when last at this level with Brennan driving. (2) ABERDEEN HANOVER never fired last week in his local return but that was a quick back half; he can be closer tonight. (5) NAUGHTY MARAVU N was scratched sick in his U.S. debut; still these imports all deserve a look.
Race 3
(6) MEETYOUATMIDNIGHT never got involved in his last two from tough posts but this looks like a spot where Holland may take a shot firing from the gate. (2) MEMORY GAME hasn't been bad recently and must be respected from this good post. (1) BEAT THE DRUM is back up in class off the easy score and claim.
Race 4
(7) CANBEC KINGKAZIMIR was shuffled out in last when finally landing a good post; he's stuck outside but may be considered the only true $50K claimer in here. Interesting switch to Bartlett as well. (1) A BETTER HAT raced well last week at a big price and he should be in line for a live trip from this spot. (8) FEEL THE NEED A was reclaimed by DiDomenico but may be stuck in an impossible spot tonight from the far outside post.
Race 5
(5) MISSILE J tightened perfectly last week, gets the best of the five through eight draw and seems like routine selecting here but don't expect much of a price. (3) ST LADS MOONWALK has been racing pretty well recently and gets an interesting driver chance to MacDonald. (6) WESTERN DYNASTY was moving really well in the late stages last week.
Race 6
(4) YES MICKEY had been racing pretty well for Svanstedt before pulling off the big upset in the Zweig; connections thought enough of him to supplement him here for $30K. (1) ENTERPRISE and (5) DEVIOUS MAN come into the race as the most accomplished, having both raced very respectably in the Hambletonian; they just need to mind their manners to move on to the final.
Race 7
(4) GUARDIAN ANGEL AS followed up his Hambo efforts with a smooth score up at Tioga in a NYSS event; Lorentzon trainee jogged at Yonkers a couple of months back. (1) MONEY MACINTOSH and (1A) TOP FLIGHT ANGEL form a pretty strong Julie Miller entry and assuming they behave themselves either or both will threaten here.
Race 8
(7) SOMEWHERE IN L A never got involved last week from post eight but I'm tempted to give him a shot tonight in this wide-open event. (4) CAVIART LUCA was much better in last, firing out then holding well late at a price; include. (6) SUNFIRE BLUE CHIP finished third in a tough stakes event last week but his prior local start was a bit peculiar, where he was looped and parked before getting impeded.
Race 9
(2) DOWNBYTHESEASIDE needs no introduction...he's much the best here and will advance to the final by winning here at 1/9. (3) ART SCENE didn't fire in the EBC Final last week at Tioga but his elimination effort was very sharp; Stratton drives the Alagna trainee tonight. (7) FUNKNWAFFLES is a legit talent but he's stuck in post eight, and remember he only has to beat one horse to advance to the final.
Race 10
(1) TAKE IT BACK TERRY got a long-overdue win last out and he's classy enough to string a few together. (5) GREAT VINTAGE hasn't been great lately but certainly hasn't been bad; price should be decent. (3) DOCTOR BUTCH makes plenty of sense here with the move back inside.
Race 11
(5) BLOOD BROTHER steps up in class but faces nothing special in here; classy Banca trainee is clearly capable of taking his third straight. (2) GHOST PINE just missed from a similar spot two back. (3) THEARTOFCONFUSION A has been a big money-burner in his last few Yonkers efforts.
Race 12
(1) PARNU HANOVER has speed and draws best in a questionable field; Bartlett drives. (3) RAMPAGE JACKSON is feeling good again and cannot be dismissed. (4) SCOTT ROCKS is talented but has been erratic lately.
