Yonkers: Saturday 8/19 Analysis

Best Bet: BLOOD BROTHER (4th)
Spot Play: ALBERTO CONTADOR N (8th)
MEET STATS: 316 - 889 / $1,751.60
BEST BETS: 42 - 76 / $142.20
Race 1
(1) LORD OF MISRULE is probably better suited for a slightly lower level but he draws best here and Brennan jogged with him two back. (4) DOJEA SOLO has good early speed and could be in line for a live trip. (8) QUICK ASA TRICK N was a big upset winner at this level three back but needs to fire hard to overcome the outside post.
Race 2
(1) PERSISTENT THREAT A qualified effectively in preparation for his U.S. debut and could be ready at first asking. (2) RAMPAGE JACKSON beat lesser last week and seems to be on the comeback trail. (5) HOLY GRAIL N faltered on the front end last out but was a pocket-sitting winner the start prior.
Race 3
(1) PHOENIX WARRIOR N is another Down-under shipper making his U.S. debut from the best post with Bartlett driving. (2) TWIN B SPEEDO was a good second last out and draws well again. (5) ABERDEEN HANOVER really found his stride out of town in his last few.
Race 4
(4) BLOOD BROTHER gets a free ride at this level off an odds-on score and it would be no surprise if the Banca trainee repeats. (2) MR HASANI N has hit the ticket in all recent and is always a threat from inside posts. (6) THE WAYFARING MAN returns locally for Burke and will likely be firing early.
Race 5
(2) SPARKY MARK was very hard used last out and gave way when engaged; classy veteran can take this with a smoother trip. (1) ONE THROUGH TEN debuts for new connections off the claim and he draws yet another inside post; threat. (5) BB'S HARLEY has raced well in all recent efforts moving up the class ladder.
Race 6
(1) BAKERSFIELD was totally uninvolved last out but it's hard to ignore him tonight getting assigned the best post. (6) BIT OF A LEGEND N gets a bit of post post relief and that should help him just enough to get close late. (3) MELMERBY BEACH makes his third start off the bench and last week's effort was solid.
Race 7
(3) EIGHTEEN is the King of this $40,000 claiming class and he'll be a short price to take another. (1) SANTANNA ONE drops back in for a tag and will be in line for a perfect trip from this spot. (2) WYNBERG COURAGE N finally gets some post relief and must be included.
Race 8
(4) ALBERTO CONTADOR N sat the rail last out and never threatened but overall his form has been good; I like the switch to Bartlett tonight. (5) HOT ROD DYLAN raced credibly last week getting run over by a classier rival; late bloomer seems to be getting better. (2) PROVEN DESIRE picks up Sears and moves inside.
Race 9
(4) CHANGE STRIDE N took money but never fired last week in a needed start after missing a few weeks; Vallee trainee could be better tonight. (3) MISTER DAYTONA N was surprisingly good winning his last; threat. (5) SOMESIZESOMESTYLE has been very consistent in all recent starts.
Race 10
(3) MR D'S DRAGON gave way after being used from post eight last week and was a solid pocket-sitting winner the start prior; hard to ignore the driver change to Sears tonight. (1) DAKOTA JACK just missed in his last two tries at this level and should try to take full advantage of his very generous rail assignment. (4) IDEAL JIMMY dug in gamely when it mattered last week and is clearly capable of repeating.
Race 11
(3) NEXT SUCCESS was the victim of an awful shuffle last week losing all chance; I'll give him another try. (6) GUANTANAMO BAY and (8) P H SUPERCAM are a couple of interesting Open-types who are dropping in for $75K claiming tags; obviously either one is capable of taking all.
Race 12
(2) THE REAL ONE is running out of excuses; now or never. (1) TEXICAN N drops in class, draws best and is an obvious threat for Tritton/Stratton. (4) DREAM OUT LOUD N sat the rail last week and had no chance; Brennan drives tonight.
