Race 1
(4) SPORTY SPOOK A was caught uncovered last out into a rated pace and couldn't sustain his run; he's down a notch in class tonight and could strike off cover. (3) DREAMLANDS ART rallied well last out and gets some needed post relief. (8) EIGHTEEN has been awesome since moving to the Banca barn and we know he'll be firing from the gate but he may not have an easy time of it tonight.
Race 2
(4) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN had a useful tightener off the vacation and will be ready to roll from this spot. (1) HOLDINGALLTHECARDS is back up in class off an easy win and he's capable at this level, especially from an inside post. (5) PRETTY BOY HILL is looking for two straight but will have to show more tonight.
Race 3
(1) TWIN B SPEEDO got abused on the rim last week, dropped back but didn't tire all that badly; Blumenfeld trainee gets a cozy post assignment tonight and could take these a long way. (7) BLOOD BROTHER can clearly go with these but may be victimized by the outside post again. (2) THE REV gets tested for class but has been very sharp.
Race 4
(2) DAMION DIESEL HAHN has half-mile track experience having finished second last week at Goshen and Ray Schnittker always has them ready. (1) JO PA'S WAY showed live moves in that latest local qualifier. (6) PERSIST BLUE CHIP hit the ticket last week in a pari-mutuel event at Philly; threat from good connections.
Race 5
(2) KWIK TALKIN arrives from Rideau Carleton, has obvious talent and only needs to navigate the half-mile. (1) PHAT BLUE CHIP was a sharp winner in his qualifer at Philly; Bartlett drives. (4) MAJOR OFFENSE showed some decent late action in morning trials.
Race 6
(4) REAL RAYENBOW jogged at Goshen in 1:57 4/5 with Bartlett driving and he sticks with him here; to the front. (7) LUCKY LEONARD needs to overcome the post but can't be ignored for Schnittker. (1) PAPRIKE BLUE CHIP will be close up throughout provided he navigates the first turn.
Race 7
(7) SOMEWHERE IN L A was done in by post eight last week but he may be able to get on the move early tonight and if he hits the front he'll be tough to catch. (2) EVENIN OF PLEASURE is a quality horse up in Canada and a fringe stakes player who arrives locally now in the Burke barn; interesting. (6) BAKERSFIELD tackles tougher while in razor-sharp form.
Race 8
(5) DW'S NY YANK came up a touch short last week in that added-distance event but he draws inside his main competition and should be heading to the front. (7) MAJOR ATHENS returned locally and was a dead-game winner but he's missed a few weeks. (6) HOMICIDE HUNTER has loads of talent but his last couple of local efforts weren't that good; use caution.
Race 9
(1) WESTERN ROCKSTAR A qualified back effectively after that debacle in his last pari-mutuel try and he draws best while facing no standouts. (3) SHANE ADAM has raced very well in his two starts after moving to the Banca barn. (4) GHOST PINE returns locally and could be leaving the gate.
Race 10
(2) ROCK ABSORBER beat similar last out from the pocket and he could be in line for a similar trip tonight. (6) CANBEC KINGKAZIMIR has been second best in his last four tries at this level. (1) J T is back in for a tag off a decent speed try and Goodell catch-drives tonight for Abbatiello.
Race 11
(1) WIND OF THE NORTH picks up Bartlett, draws best and has loads of class; one to beat. (4) PRIME POWER N looked good in his U.S. debut and could be ready for more. (2) ROSE RUN PARKER won easily at Pocono with the hobbles added.
Race 12
(2) GREAT VINTAGE returns locally and the Takter-trained veteran has a very nice history at Yonkers; he's the one to beat but don't accept too short of a price. (1) SETTLEMOIR gets much-needed post relief and he should be more involved from this spot. (6) DEETZY doesn't win often but he's capable; use underneath.
