Yonkers: Saturday 7/15 Analysis

Best Bet: MOONLITEONTHEBEACH (3rd)

Spot Play: AMERICANPRIMETIME (10th)

MEET STATS: 251 - 709 / $1,421.00

BEST BETS: 34 - 61 / $114.30

Race 1

(2) NEWBIE had dull cover, moved wide but could not dent the margin into the classy winner last out; Banca trainee should be the controlling speed from this spot. (6) SHINOBU HANOVER didn't fire in last but like the top choice he gets class relief and he should be more involved. (7) SPORTSKEEPER hasn't been at his best recently but he does have some early speed at his disposal.

Race 2

(4) THREE OF CLUBS gets both needed class and post relief tonight and this driver/trainer combo teamed up for a nice win here last week with The Rev. (2) MAJOR BUCKS was second best last out from a similar spot; logical. (2) DIABANDO hasn't been very sharp recently but he does move inside and he picks up the leading driver.

Race 3

(4) MOONLITEONTHEBEACH finds himself in a very live spot tonight and Holland driving for Bamond has been a good angle recently. (5) SOHO LENNON A didn't fire last out from a good trip but likely needed that start. (7) DAKOTA JACK is another who's been facing better but the outside post presents a problem; use underneath.

Race 4

(5) LUCAN HANOVER raced much better last out holding for a share after a two-move effort; classy veteran should be able to handle these. (2) SAPPHIRE CITY is running out of excuses but still cannot be ignored. (6) LUCIANO N saved ground and finished willingly in his U.S. debut; keep an eye on him.

Race 5

(1) EIGHTEEN kind of took last week off when saddled with the eight hole; Bartlett will be getting back to business tonight. (3) DREAMLANDS ART has been a steady commodity recently and should be close up throughout. (2) IRA CHIEF may end up with the pocket ride if nobody bothers the top choice early

Race 6

(1) SPRINGSTEEN raced very well in his career debut handling himself professionally enough while being second best; he can graduate tonight as Bartlett's choice. (7) KWIK TALKIN arrived from Ontario and took care of his business for his new barn; only problem here is the post. (2) TRUMP NATION kicked in very nicely to upset in his career debut and the Andrew Harris trainee could have more to offer.

Race 7

(4) RANCOUSY was a winner in his last two tries at this $50K claiming level; class relief and the switch to Holland can help his cause in this suspect field. (5) SECOND WIND N moves in a few slots and the Tritton trainee can be more involved. (2) SPORTS BETTOR took similar down the road two back.

Race 8

(4) ROCKIN RON returns locally after having some limited success in stakes acton; Burke trainee had a decent showing in the Levy. (3) SOTO also had his moments in the Levy and should appreciate the move back to Yonkers. (7) BIT OF LEGEND N is saddled with another outside post and may have too far to come; use underneath.

Race 9

(4) NEXT SUCCESS has been razor-sharp in his two races after shipping over to Yonkers; he goes for another new barn tonight and faces no standouts at this $50K claiming level. (6) CANBEC KINGKAZIMIR has been second best in his last five races at this level and he keeps getting ignored on the morning line. (2) ONE THROUGH TEN was a solid second two back with Greg Merton driving.

Race 10

(3) AMERICANPRIMETIME switches back to a catch-driver tonight while getting some class and post relief; recipe for success. (5) CAVIART LUCA qualified nicely at The Meadowlands and appears ready to fire off the bench. (7) SANTA FE BEACHBOY is stuck outside and it always a guess if he can reach in time or not.

Race 11

(4) P H SUPERCAM easily disposed of lesser last out and although he will have to work harder tonight he's certainly capable of repeating. (1) QUALITY CLOSER is up in class again looking for three straight and this driver/trainer tandem has been hot. (7) TEXAS TERROR N was very sharp in that qualifier but it's tough to say how hard he'll be used from an outside post off three months.

Race 12

(6) BETTOREVER has been razor-sharp in his last few and although he's up in class tonight this field didn't come up all that strong. (4) HOT ROD DYLAN is an interesting Illinois shipper who certainly likes to win. (1) ELWELL can usually be counted on for a share from inside posts.
