Race 1
(4) CHACHING HANOVER takes a needed drop to a winning level and picks up the hot George Brennan; I suspect he'll be on the move early. (1) SPORTSKEEPER also drops and gets major post relief in his second start off the bench and the Ruiz trainee certainly is logical. (2) HIGHLAND TARTAN was close up from a similar spot last week and figures to get the same trip tonight.

Race 2
(5) OH JOHNY B GOOD N faltered on the front end last week and I suspect he's better from off the pace, which may happen from this spot; Brennan picks up the catch-drive. (2) CHUCARO ACERO BC makes his second start off the barn change to Banca and he had trouble keeping up on the rim in that race; not sure what the trip will be tonight but he does merit consideration. (3) ABOUT A BOY rallied well in his last two out of town for Lachance and he should be a late threat here.
Race 3
(7) BLOOD BROTHER drops to a new low tonight and I can't look past him despite the outside post; I suppose the board will give clues as to how live he is. (2) BELL I NO was off in a tangle last start losing all realistic chance but he still rallied for a share; gelding beat better than these earlier this season. (1) CANBEC KINGKAZIMIR returns locally and is usually pretty live from inside posts.
Race 4
(3) ALL DOWN THE LINE has either been stuck in tough outside posts or in a bit over his head (or a combination of both) in his recent starts but he has proven himself with this type and can be considered if the price is right. (2) TORRID BROMAC N may be the one to beat, with the good inside post and with Bartlett driving. (5) THEARTOFCONFUSION A was bothered a bit turning home last week and still finished close up; veteran drops another notch in class tonight.
Race 5
(2) STOLEN CAR returns locally and finds a pretty suspect field of $40,000 claimers; I guess he's got as good a chance as any here. (4) ONE THROUGH TEN is always a speed threat. (6) WINDS OF CHANGE was awful last out but Bartlett sticks for Banca and we've seen him bounce back in the past.
Race 6
(1) HURRIKANE KINGKLEE has shown some very live moves in his first two races, including a nice rally from too far back at Yonkers last month; worthy of serious consideration in this edition of the Sheppard but I wouldn't go nuts with anyone in here. (5) WORLD ON EDGE hails from the red-hot Burke barn and he looks like the deserving favorite. (2) HICKFROMFRENCHLICK was a blowout winner at Goshen in his career debut for Schnittker, last quarter in :27 1/5; MacDonald drives. Definitely use.
Race 7
(4) ALWAYS AT MY PLACE got a little jammed in as the outer flow was very live in that strange Open race two weeks ago; as we know the Burke barn has been on fire lately and this veteran may have a clear path to the lead. (5) PACING MAJOR N was put on the front end last week, and though I don't fault the tactics I think he's better from off the pace, which will likely be the case tonight. (3) GREAT VINTAGE somehow got lost at the back last out and rallied too late then was scratched sick last week; hard to know what to expect tonight but it's hard not to consider the millionaire.
Race 8
(3) ANOTHER DAILY COPY couldn't make the front last week and had to settle for a minor award; Bartlett may look to take him coast-to-coast tonight. (5) SOHO LENNON A never got involved last out but that was against better; I will definitely include him tonight. (1) ROCK ON MOE overcame a curious drive to just prevail at odds-on versus cheaper last week; he draws best and is classy enough to hit the ticket.
Race 9
(1) GRATIAN HANOVER draws best, gets Holland in the bike subbing for Bongiorno, and seems capable of working out a winning trip from this spot. (4) DON'TCALLMEFRANCIS has been sharp for an extended period of time and has early speed. (5) KILLER MARTINI obviously fits with these but he may need a bit of help having drawn outside of the main contenders.
Race 10
(1) ROBBIE BURNS N has been rock-solid since arriving from Down-under and this barn had a couple of live ones here Monday night. (4) VORACITY is another sharp horse from Burke that has to be considered. (2) MISSILE J returns locally after a try in stakes company and he's clearly good enough to take all.
Race 11
(3) RUN ONEOVER N had no chance of reaching last week but his prior races hinted at serious ability; Bartlett drives tonight and he may have a tactical edge on (4) MCERLEAN. The latter was overmatched in the Open but was a huge winner at this level the start prior. (1) THE REV has the speed and the best draw; I don't think he can compete with these late but he may hang on for a share.
Race 12
(1) ROCK N TONY won rather easily last out in 1:51 4/5 and a similar effort will likely be good enough for the Burke trainee to repeat. (3) MISTER DAYTONA N was well driven to victory last out by Mike Simons and now he gets Marohn in the bike; player. (2) ORILLIA JOE fizzled out badly on the front end in his latest; he may be more conservatively handled tonight saving ground.
