Yonkers: Saturday 6/17 Analysis

Best Bet: SOMEWHERE FANCY (12th)
Spot Play: BADIOU HANOVER (9th)
MEET STATS: 215 - 601 / $1,232.50
BEST BETS: 29 - 52 / $98.00
Race 1
(3) EIGHTEEN has earned over $30K in three starts off the Bartlett purchase and there's no reason to think the veteran can't go down the road again for his fourth straight. (1) ONE THROUGH TEN hasn't been great off the claim but he faces a bit softer while drawing best; pocket trip? (5) MEETYOUATMIDNIGHT was second best to the tough Bettor's Edge at The Meadowlands recently.
Race 2
(5) TOUGH GET GOING gave it a good try upon moving to the Banca barn and he can show more improvement tonight. (3) DEWEYLOVERNLEAVER has been a bit erratic but the talent seems to be there. (1) SUNRISE AVENUE gets major post relief and should be more involved.
Race 3
(2) SECOND WIND N drops in for the $50K claiming tag and raced well last week out of town; Tritton veteran may be fresher than some of these. (4) SPORTS BETTOR was a decent third in his last local try. (6) NOBLES FINESSE has done little in his two starts off the Banca claim but he's clearly capable of better.
Race 4
(3) CANBEC KINGKAZIMIR was a solid second in his last two starts at this $50K claiming level and he draws a decent enough post in this questionable field; I can't quite understand the 20/1 morning line. (6) COWBOY TERRIER has definitely been underperforming of late but he's clearly capable of turning it around for top connections. (2) UNCLE BEN N rallied well last out and draws well here.
Race 5
(3) DRAGON STRIKES finally lands a good post off a series of tough spots and he may be as good as any in this competitive event. (5) BET YOU returns locally and returns to Bartlett; when last at Yonkers he was second best to Take It Back Terry. (8) DOJEA SOLO does have blastaway early speed to overcome the post.
Race 6
(5) BETTOREVER has been competitive with better than these recently; slight call. (2) RONNY BUGATTI has missed more time than most of these which is a concern but he's as good as anyone in here. (6) ST LADS MOONWALK just missed in his last local try.
Race 7
(5) SANTA FE BEACHBOY burned money in his last two local tries but with the right trip he can draw away from these. (3) TEXICAN N disappointed in last but it's hard to totally ignore this veteran. (4) IDEAL COWBOY was second best in the Open two back.
Race 8
(4) WESTERN FAME just missed at Mohawk in the Graduate and prior to that the Takter trainee was the Confederation Cup winner over the half at Flamboro. Coming off a sick scratch is a bit of a concern but he should have a tactical edge on most of these. (5) BIT OF LEGEND N clearly needs no introduction and he's back at his favorite venue after taking the Molson Cup. (7) SOMEWHERE IN L A got torched last out at Philly; hopefully that didn't take too much starch out of him.
Race 9
(1) BADIOU HANOVER seems to have tailed off a bit recently but this looks like a perfect spot to get well. (3) COOPERSTOWN has been unable to seal the deal recently; use caution. (2) PROVEN DESIRE faces tougher but has been good for Allard.
Race 10
(6) DEETZY may be a touch below these class-wise but he's been sharp and has strong early speed. (3) HOLY GRAIL N looks to have the talent but hasn't really put it all together yet. (1) WESTERN ROCKSTAR A gets much-needed post relief and should be more involved.
Race 11
(1) SPEED IT is a winning machine and should have a tactical edge on main rival (8) CENTURION ATM. The latter is probably the most talented in here for Swanstedt but faces a tough task from the eight hole. (6) OHH RAH is a major threat if he minds his manners.
Race 12
(2) SOMEWHERE FANCY could trip out behind a vulnerable leader and power by late. (3) TE KAWAU N hasn't been all that good recently but the class relief should help. (1) LUCAN HANOVER may be the controlling speed but he needs to show more late.
