Race 1
(1) NOBLES FINESSE was a dominating winner versus this type last out making it two straight at this $50K claiming level; he'll be odds-on to take another and I'll stay on board. (7) WESTERN BAYAMA goes for new connections off the claim and will look to stay sharp; Bartlett drives. (2) ARDIE B SPEED was second best to the top choice last out and will look to sit the pocket again.
Race 2
(2) NO RECESS was a no-match fourth last week versus two rivals who would likely jog in this soft field. (6) WING FLASH debuts for the hot Devita off the $30K claim and he looks like a good fit in this spot. (7) APPOMATTOX has taken three of five over at The Meadowlands and he picks up Bartlett upon arrival.
Race 3
(5) POLAK A has been very disappointing of late but he gets a barn change here to Andrew Harris and that could wake him up. (4) HIGHVIEW CONALL N finished willingly last week off the Blumenfeld claim and Sears sticks. (2) SHINOBU HANOVER is up in class off a nice win and is playable.
Race 4
(3) COWBOY TERRIER gets a free ride at this level off a live-trip solid score and the Banca trainee is certainly capable of taking another. (1) STATESMAN N gets much-needed post relief and will be a big threat from this spot. (2) SAPPHIRE CITY returns locally off a win at Pocono and this is certainly a winning level for the millionaire.
Race 5
(3) HILLBILLY HANOVER isn't the most prolific winner but from this spot versus a pretty soft field he's impossible to look past. (1) DIAMOND COWBOY finally lands a good inside post and shouldn't let the opportunity pass. (4) ST LADS MOONWALK has been sharp up at Saratoga.
Race 6
(5) MELADY'S MONET could not sustain a two-move effort last out but from this post the classy trotter may only need one move to secure the win. (7) LADY'S DUDE is fresh off a very sharp front-end score and he does have the speed to overcome the post. (6) BUEN CAMINO has quietly had a very strong season for Smedshammer and he should be a closing threat.
Race 7
(3) BLOOD BROTHER was very game in defeat last week in the Open just missing to a classy rival and now he gets in with lesser; looks like lock-city tonight. (2) HOLY GRAIL N gets major post relief and will be much more involved. (1) LETTUCEROCKTHEM A draws best and gets Stratton back in the bike.
Race 8
(8) SOMEWHERE IN L A returns locally where he just missed in a stellar Levy final effort; will the eight hole present a major obstacle tonight? I doubt it. (4) TEXICAN N is lightly raced this year but has been good in all of his efforts; threat. (3) MISTER DAYTONA N is a perfect two-for-two in his U.S. starts; import will take money and be involved here.
Race 9
(8) DW'S NY YANK is arguably best here and has the speed to overcome the eight hole. (6) CELEBRITY PEGASUS closed with plenty two back then followed that up with a break; he can be a late threat here with a live trip. (3) AGGRESSIVE was second best in the Open last out to a horse that would dominate here.
Race 10
(1) GUANTANAMO BAY was run over by a sharp rival last week offering up a solid try and he should be in line for a perfect winning trip tonight; short price. (2) LIMELIGHT BEACH gets class and post relief; veteran may try taking these down the road. (3) ARTFUL WAY has taken two straight out of town; consider on the ticket.
Race 11
(3) WIND OF THE NORTH raced well last week upon arrival but could not dent the margin on the sharp winner; his turn to take control. (2) TOBER has been sharp for a while now and was second best last week to a tough rival who was dropping. (7) LUMINOSITY has had plenty of success here in the past.
Race 12
(5) SANTA FE BEACHBOY is another veteran on the card who seems to have found a soft spot and will be a short price; Banca trainee should find a way to beat these. (3) NUCLEAR DRAGON has quickly proven that he can go with this type; post relief helps. (2) FOILED AGAIN was second best last out from the pocket and it's nice to see the old warrior still be competitive on Saturday nights.
