Yonkers: Saturday 4/15 Analysis

Best Bet: HEMI SEELSTER (8th)
Spot Play: FIRST OF ITSKIND (12th)
MEET STATS: 133 - 385 / $763.10
BEST BETS: 20 - 34 / $68.70
Race 1
(4) PASS THEM BY N is still winless on the season but finds a pretty soft spot here with questionable rivals. (5) THE LUNCH PAIL isn't on top of his game but his best effort with a live trip can get it done. (3) DYNAMIC YOUTH triple jumps off a win but he has the class to compete with these.
Race 2
(5) RUN AND TELL PAP debuts for Garcia-Herrera via claim and may be as good as any in here. (4) AUSPICIOUS HANOVER returns locally after a nice winter vacation and does have good gate speed. (2) TAKE MY PICTURE double-jumps off a big win in the slop.
Race 3
(1) WESTERN BAYAMA let me down last week by not firing home hard enough but it was a decent effort nonetheless; he deserves another chance from the best post. (5) NOBLES FINESSE has been as sharp as a racehorse can be and must be considered. (6) NEWBIE faces tougher off an easy win and Bartlett drives again.
Race 4
(8) DW'S NY YANK was a well rated winner in his local return and he has the class to defeat these despite being assigned the eight hole. (4) BEE IN CHARGE ducked to the rail and was jammed in traffic last week losing all chance but I'm not sure how much trot he had; seems capable of more. (5) TACO TUESDAY successfully graduated from the NW conditioned ranks and he's a player here.
Race 5
(3) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN had an easy trip last week and paced home evenly; he will be closer to the speed tonight and may be capable of grinding these down. (2) MCWICKED has been much better in his last two starts and he's an obvious player. (1) CAVIART LUCA has speed with the best draw; Burke trainee is capable if he's left alone on the lead.
Race 6
(1) BIT OF A LEGEND N only has one win this season but really hasn't done anything wrong; last year's Levy champ should be able to work out a perfect trip from this spot. (2) ROCKIN RON has been rock-solid returning this year as a 5-year-old and I couldn't fault anyone for backing him. I'll throw (7) MISSILE J on the bottom of the ticket but I don't see how he gets involved from this spot; perhaps he can pick off the rest late.
Race 7
(5) SOMEWHERE IN L A surprised me last week by grinding uncovered and kept digging to get the job done. I suspect he'll revert back to speed tactics tonight and try to control these. (1) WAKIZASHI HANOVER hasn't been bad but certainly hasn't been good throughout the series. He is in line for a perfect trip from this spot, however. (2) MCARDLES LIGHTNING was much better last week just missing; another good post puts him in the mix.
Race 8
(3) HEMI SEELSTER gets a needed post edge on his main rivals tonight and should be able to get the job done. (6) MELADY'S MONET returns locally and the classy trotter needs no introduction; clear player. (5) BUEN CAMINO was storming home late last week to just miss.
Race 9
(1) SANTANNA ONE has raced pretty well in all recent efforts, now he lands the rail and may be a slightly better price than (2) MATTAMERICAN. The latter was overmatched in the Levy and clearly can go better here. (7) BELL I NO merits a mention here, getting a very interesting trainer/driver change here (Burke/Brennan).
Race 10
(4) SIR MACHALOT has raced well enough to win in his last three and lands in a good spot versus some camera-shy types. (2) RAINBOW ROMANCE N lacks the class of others but he gets much needed post relief for a live barn. (1) MOONLITEONTHEBEACH was a winner two back with Tetrick in the bike.
Race 11
(1) NUCLEAR DRAGON has gone from a conditioned claimer to a Saturday night-type horse in a very short period of time; stay on board. (2) IDEAL COWBOY looks for three straight and will be right there throughout. (3) BADIOU HANOVER can save ground and shake free with pace.
Race 12
(1) FIRST OF ITSKIND didn't really fire upon shipping up from Pompano last week after taking a ton of money; he can be better tonight with that acclimating effort. (3) DR J HANOVER certainly didn't disgrace himself in the Levy and this is clearly a better spot. (2) THE REAL ONE returns locally for Lachance and should be tighter off those two Dover efforts.
