Race 1
(2) HOLY GRAIL N qualified very sharply upon arrival from Australia and could be ready at first asking against a questionable field. (3) FASHION DELIGHT hasn't been great but hasn't been bad since being claimed by these connections; veteran seems to fit at this level. (4) CLASSIC AMERICAN N gets a nice driver upgrade to Gingras.
Race 2
(2) J A T O has finished second in his three starts for Burke, missing by two necks and a head; camera-shy or overdue? (6) DEWYCOLORINTHELINE had trot last out once escaping traffic and he gets Tetrick in the bike tonight. (3) FROST FREE HANOVER arrives from Delaware for new connections and has been pretty sharp recently.
Race 3
(4) WESTERN ROCKSTAR A gets needed post relief and has a nice move in him; veteran could be the best price here of the contenders. (5) UF ROCKIN DRAGON finished with pace in his seasonal debut and Tetrick drives again; logical. (3) BIG N BAD fits with this type but is tough to endorse based on current form.
Race 4
(3) ORILLIA JOE held well for a board spot after attacking uncovered into the odds-on favorite; his best game is speed and he should be able to make the front from this spot. (4) E Z NOAH is as good or better than these when he's in the mood. (1) DREAM OUT LOUD N drops, draws best, has tons of back class but clearly hasn't reached top form yet; use caution.
Race 5
(1) AMERICAN VENTURE lands a rare inside post tonight and the veteran will not let the opportunity pass. (5) SECOND WIND N qualified well coming off the lame scratch and the Tritton trainee fits well with these. (3) OH JONNY B GOOD N was second best to the top choice two back from an inside post and he draws well here.
Race 6 - Levy
(4) SANTA FE BEACHBOY was used early then was a victim of circumstance when he looked to have more to offer but the leader quit in his face; give the Banca trainee another chance. (3) KEYSTONE VELOCITY was aggressively handled in his second seasonal start and the Allard trainee should be tighter off that effort. (1) BETTOR'S EDGE surprisingly retook over Rockin Ron last week and paid the price late; veteran draws best again.
Race 7 - Levy
(2) SOTO worked out a perfect pocket ride last week and got the jump on (3) BIT OF A LEGEND N to post the upset; Eric Ell trainee remains razor-sharp and could be in line for a similar trip tonight. The latter may have waited too long to move and finished with plenty; last year's Levy champ will be right there late and is a must-use. (1) ROCKIN RON has been very sharp in his four 2017 starts for Burke; he's likely the controlling speed from the rail.
Race 8
(7) LUCAN HANOVER has been really good in his last three and he does have the early speed to overcome the outside post. (1) BADIOU HANOVER has been in sneaky good form all year and he lands the best post here; threat. (5) SUNFIRE BLUE CHIP qualified looking like he was ready for action but he may need a start or two to work himself into top shape.
Race 9 - Levy
(1) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN is perfect in four 2017 starts, including last week's game uncovered win; he's clearly the one to beat until proven otherwise. (3) MISSLE J exploded home off dull cover in round one and he's been a killer since moving to the DiDomenico barn. (7) SOMEWHERE IN L A gets stuck outside, where he's been in most of his recent starts; tough to say whether he gets involved tonight; your call.
Race 10 - Levy
(1) ALL BETS OFF was a decent second last week in his 2017 debut. Clearly he needed the start and the Burke-trained double-millionaire should be much better tonight. (3) MELMERBY BEACH steps up with a big effort from time to time, usually when it is least expected; worth including. (4) WAKIZASHI HANOVER has been just okay in his two local 2017 starts; he needs to show more.
Race 11
(6) HEMI SEELSTER was uncovered a long way in last week's added-distance event and could not sustain that run; he puts his nose back on the gate tonight and could be on the move early. (4) RED HOT HERBIE was a winner last out and gets the best of the handicapped draw. (7) LADY'S DUDE was just shy last week and he's a clear threat despite the outside post.
Race 12
(7) SPORTS BETTOR has clearly tailed off recently while facing better in the Open; class relief can help tonight. (3) POLAK A draws much better and is always in the hunt from inside posts. (1) DULL ROAR faces better but he's been razor-sharp.
