Race 1
(6) AMERICAN RAGE drops back to a more realistic level and picks up Bartlett; this barn won the other night with a dropper. (1) SPORTSKEEPER went through the motions last out but now moves all the way back inside; threat despite some missed time. (4) JUSTICE MY WAY has the ability and could threaten if put into play.
Race 2
(4) STATESMAN N has been very good in his three starts for the Ruiz barn and this looks like a good spot to get aggressive. (6) COWBOY TERRIER drops a notch and should be more involved. (2) WICK N finished willingly last out in his first start off the bench.
Race 3
(3) IN THE HUDDLE takes a very meaningful drop in class tonight and is clearly the one to beat. (2) WESTERN ROCKSTAR A tired after sizzling on the front end last out (perhaps trying to get away from Provocativeprincen?); he can show more late after sitting a trip. (6) AMERICAN VENTURE has raced well in his three starts since returning from California.
Race 4
(1) BETTOREVER gets serious post relief and is always a live player from inside spots. (8) CLEAR VISION raced very well in his debut for new connections but he's stuck outside again. (2) BIG N BAD quickly went from good to awful in the span of two starts.
Race 5
(6) LETTUCEROCKTHEM A finished with plenty of pace in his debut for new connections and the classy veteran can show even more tonight. (2) LONE SURVIVOR was never involved from the eight hole last week but he moves back inside and Bartlett's back driving. (1) MACINTOSH N dropped and popped last week; threat to hit the ticket.
Race 6
(5) GUANTANAMO BAY had no chance to close from the outside post as the winner got away with cheap numbers last week; prior efforts for his new barn have been super. (4) SOTO had finishing pace upon arrival from Delaware and Kakaley sticks with him. (6) ROLAND N ROCK hasn't won in a while but he's proven to be a legitimate Open threat.
Race 7
(6) TEXICAN N showed in those qualifiers he's ready to roll in his 2017 debut assuming the intention is there. (2) CASIMIR JITTERBUG was a winner three back at this level. (1) BEAT THE DRUM came up empty last out but his prior efforts were good.
Race 8
(4) VEGAS VACATION ran into a killer last week but it was still a respectable effort; classy millionaire can resume winning ways tonight. (1) MAKE SOME LUCK faltered late after a rugged uncovered trip last out and is a major threat with a smoother trip. (5) SANTA FE BEACHBOY qualified nicely, fits with these and should be a decent price in his 2017 debut.
Race 9
(6) ROCKIN RON finished with loads of pace in his 2017 debut and the Burke trainee should be even better tonight. (8) IDEAL COWBOY also had plenty late in his last start but may be done in by the eight hole. (2) BURNING N steps up off two game uncovered wins.
Race 10
(5) ARTISTIC MAJOR finished willingly while outkicked home in his seasonal debut, and it was a very encouraging effort; worth a play. (2) LUCAN HANOVER drops from the Open and will likely be controlling these on the front end. (4) IRA CHIEF raced evenly last week while in with some tough ones.
Race 11
(7) P H SUPERCAM was much better last out and now gets to drop in class. Veteran has the speed to overcome the outside post. (1) COOPERSTOWN raced decently last week in a needed start and he draws best. (4) SHINOBU HANOVER was a good second to a classy rival in his qualifier and he could land a share at first asking.
