Race 1
(5) LORD OF MISRULE drops back down a notch and appears more than capable of flashing his early speed from this spot. (1) SWEET TALKIN SATIN draws best, was Bartlett's choice but clearly needs to show more. (4) CHEVALS CLIVESDALE raced decently in a needed start off the bench. Gotta give a mention to (8) FOILED AGAIN, who makes his local return off a win at Dover but the eight hole may seal his fate tonight.
Race 2
(5) AWSOME VALLEY returns locally, picks up Bartlett and has had success here in the past. (1) SHOWMEYOURGUNS was very game in defeat last out and now faces tougher off the Milici claim. (6) GOLDEN SON is perfect this season and went wire-to-wire flawlessly last out versus NW types.
Race 3
(5) BUEN CAMINO finished with plenty of trot last week after being backed up by stale cover. Smedshammer trainee should be ready to roll from this spot. (1) GET TO DOIN IT was dead game on the engine beating lesser last out. (2) BROOKLYN BOND qualified well after breaking in his U.S. debut, where he was in striking position; serious contender.
Race 4
(4) FASHION DELIGHT kicked home very nicely in his debut for new connections and the millionaire veteran should appreciate the post relief. (3) POLAK A is proven at this level and has been overdue for some time. (2) TG'S DIVINE SCENE shipped in last week for Burke and gave a good accounting of himself to hit the ticket.
Race 5
(2) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN paced a big back half uncovered to win under wraps and the Tritton trainee can be even stronger tonight. (3) VEGAS VACATION took care of business upon arrival disposing of lesser at 1/9. (6) ROCKIN RON makes his 2017 debut for Burke off a good qualifier. This is a very interesting race.
Race 6
(2) NEWCASTLE never really had a chance last week and he still has something to prove at this level but he lands inside and the price should be right to take a swing with him. (4) SPRINGBANK SAM N gets needed post relief and is inside what he needs to beat; can Stratton leave with him? (7) RED HOT HERBIE was good at both ends last week and can certainly repeat.
Race 7
(5) CAVIART LUCA has been very sharp and had quickly proven himself as a legit Open commodity; Burke trainee has tactical options from this midpack spot. (3) LUCAN HANOVER picks up Bartlett and can fire hard early. (4) LONG LIVE ROCK just missed in two solid 2017 tries for Allard.
Race 8
(4) BENTLEY SPUR had late trot last week from an impossible spot and he could be ready to roll in his third try for the Banca barn. (5) TOBER clearly needed last week's race; shows more tonight? (2) KELSEY'S KEEPSAKE didn't fire last out but she gets some needed class relief.
Race 9
(2) HEMI SEELSTER finally lands in a realistic spot; time to flex his class muscles. (4) NOT AFRAID got nailed on the money last week, his debut on Lasix. (3) LUCK O THE IRISH gapped a bit on the rim but kicked in nicely in the lane last out.
Race 10
(6) BLOOD BROTHER was overbet last out and failed to sustain a two-move effort; consider if the price is better. (2) COOPERSTOWN qualified effectively and draws best but does he need a start? (3) E STREET PLAN raced very well in his 2017 debut to be second best.
