Race 1
(2) THE ONLYEST ONE has finished well in all recent efforts and now gets needed post relief in a very questionable field; ignore the 20/1 morning line. (5) FAMEOUS WESTERN just missed upon dropping to this level last week; logical contender. (3) RONNY BUGATTI was no good on the lead last out then was scratched sick; use caution.
Race 2
(3) SEVRUGA never got involved from the eight hole in a bulky field last out, his 2017 debut; more can be expected tonight. (2) HONOR ABOVE ALL arrives from Woodbine and joins the Lachance barn; does he need a start? (6) LAUDERDALE gets Kakaley in the bike tonight and could be a player.
Race 3
(5) SNAP TO IT A gets a slightly better post to work with tonight and the Bamond-trained veteran appears way overdue. (3) BURNING N was a very game uncovered winner last week and can certainly repeat. (1) FOOL ME ONCE qualified effectively for his seasonal debut and he's beaten better than these in the past.
Race 4
(3) LUCKY COLBY was a very willing second last week in his 2017 debut and the veteran trotter can build off that effort. (1) SWISHNFLICK was decent in her debut for the Allard barn. (6) TESACO DU PONT was never really involved in his U.S. debut but he does face softer tonight.
Race 5
(6) LAWGIVER HANOVER was very hard used last week and understandably tired; another chance. (1) GHOST PINE draws best and will likely control the action. (2) EXIT CAM doesn't win often but he fits with this type and can be considered for a share.
Race 6
(5) RED HOT HERBIE never fired from that second-tier start last out but he can fire to the front from this spot. (3) TAG UP AND GO is back on the east coast off some sharp efforts in Ohio. (8) ALLERAGE STAR took these the distance last week but it should be harder for her tonight from the outside post.
Race 7
(5) ROLAND N ROCK changed tactics last week and was used hard up close to the pace; prior closing efforts were good and he may be able to fish out some cover from this spot. (3) GUANTANAMO BAY has been very good in his two starts for the Renaud barn. (6) SAPPHIRE CITY earns a return ticket to the Open ranks after taking three straight off the Burke purchase.
Race 8
(4) MONEY MAVEN gets class relief and the opportunity to have his nose on the gate; to the front. (2) IN SECRET is another Woodbine shipper in good form who could fit well here. (5) LOU MAN also gets a bit of class relief.
Race 9
(6) NOT AFRAID hasn't had an easy go it recently but he debuts now on Lasix and he's a proven winner. (2) CRAZY ABOUT PAT raced well in defeat last week in a needed start. (4) SUMATRA doesn't win often but he was flying to the wire last out.
Race 10
(2) BEAT THE DRUM raced very well for a board spot last week, and that's multiple good efforts in a row; time for a win. (5) LIMELIGHT BEACH tried to bottom the field last week and almost prevailed; speed threat. (1) E STREET PLAN should save ground in a needed start and could hold off the rest.
