(4) LISTOWEL went a long mile and a big trip in defeat last out; a smoother journey takes this. (3) WHOLLY LOUY will be a big speed threat from this spot. (5) LATE NIGHT JOKE ships from The Meadowlands, is a bit erratic but has talent. He can't be ignored from these live connections.

Race 2
(3) EIGHTEEN was uncovered a long way last week and continued well for second; veteran can head to the front tonight. (1) SHARK'S LEGACY was nailed on the money last out and he looms the one to beat from this spot. (4) TYE SEELSTER qualified effectively and has Pierce driving.
Race 3
(2) RESCUE PLAN gets much-needed post relief tonight and the classy vet can turn things around from this spot; Pierce driving will attract attention at the windows. (1) RAFFERTY HANOVER finally showed some signs of life last out. (4) VERY UPSET RICHIE went evenly in last week's starts versus claimers; I have no idea why he's 9/5 on the morning line, however.
Race 4
(4) MISSISSIPPI HIPPY returns locally off a win at The Big M and he's raced well with better than these in the past. (1) OUR CULLENSCROWN N moves all the way in to the rail slot; big threat. (5) BULLET SPEED debuts for new connections and gets Brennan in the bike.
Race 5
(4) MAJOR BELLE debuts for Burke via private purchase and he's capable of turning it around. (2) RUSSLEY RASCAL N takes a big drop in class, moves inside and is a big threat. (1) MORTAL ZIN gets to drop in class off a win as he also debuts for new connections.
Race 6
(1) HYPNOTIC BLUE CHIP has come back as strong as ever at age 8. Veteran lands the rail in this open draw and he's clearly the one to down. (2) DOVUTO HANOVER was favored last out in the same race as the top choice but didn't fire; he's capable of better, (6) LUMBERJACK WILLIE has done little wrong since arriving locally.
Race 7
(5) MCERLEAN ascends the class ladder again off an impressive victory and he can come right back for another. (3) ESPEN DE VIE sat the rail and didn't threaten last week; gelding is capable of better. (4) SHORTSTACKED gets Goodell in the bike tonight.
Race 8
(5) DOMETHATAGAIN needed last week's tightener and he can be ready to roll tonight with Pierce in the bike. (1) FLEM N EM N backed up in his last two Meadowlands races; prior local form is good. (2) LIFE UP FRONT has impressed thus far in 2014.
Race 9
(5) DIAL OR NO DIAL may have a slight class edge on the rest of these; veteran gets a weak call here. (4) SECOND WIND N returns locally and he's had his moments here in the past. (1) ELECTRIC SHOOTER lost cover and flattened last out; he needs to get away close up for his best chance.
Race 10
(3) UNCLE GOODFELLOW gave way after facing late pressure last out; another chance. (5) A J CORBELLI is up in class again off a loss but the Allard trainee is more than capable. (2) BIG GAME HUNTER moves up looking for two in a row.
Race 11
(4) GREAT SOUL exploded home once shaking free last out; he finds a pretty soft field of conditioned pacers here and he can easily repeat. (3) CHEYENNE JEFFREY lacks the class of others in here but he's got speed and can be sitting close up in this field. (8) THE POKESTER flashed good early pace last out and Bartlett may try to sneak an early tuck.
Race 12
(4) WHOGOESFIRST takes a needed drop in class and I would expect a more aggressive steer tonight. (2) LIGHTNING STRIKE lands another good post and Brennan's driving again. (5) SILENT SWING is a double-millionaire who still has the talent to get it done.
