Yonkers: Saturday 12/1 Analysis

Best Bet: BLAISE MM HANOVER (3rd)

MEET STATS: 505 - 1423 / $2,735.10
BEST BETS: 71 - 124 / $229.90
Race 1
(3) BUGGER BRUISER won at first asking off the Brittany Roberson purchase and he faces a camera-shy field on the hike in class; maybe. (4) HIGHLAND TARTAN amazingly still hasn't won a race this year which is surprising because he's a decent racehorse but he almost always lands a share; include. (6) CHANGE STRIDE faltered on the front end last week but he gets Bartlett back in the bike tonight.
Race 2
(3) STOLEN CAR almost stole it last week on the front end after firing from the outside post; Bamond trainee remains sharp and should have a pretty easy time making the lead again from this spot. (7) WINDSONG JACK has been super since moving to the Burke barn and he drops in for tag tonight; outside post hurts but he has the speed to overcome. (1) ALLSTAR PARTNER may be tailing off a bit but the post relief should help.
Race 3
(3) BLAISE MM HANOVER has actually been pretty good from poor posts in his last three and the move inside plus the class relief should help immensely; to the front. (7) ANOTHER DAILY COPY is another dropper and he's fired hard from outside posts in the past; watch the board. (2) BETTOR'S PROMISE dropped to this level last week and was a game second to the pocket sitter after grinding uncovered.
Race 4
(2) ORILLIA JOE is certainly the most logical in here with the class and post relief and he may very well go wire-to-wire but he's certainly no lock. (5) SPORTSKEEPER also drops a notch in class and he was a sharp two-move winner when last at this level. (6) ROCK THE NITE was in the Preferred when last seen locally and he returns off a dull effort at The Meadowlands; seems like on his best day he can compete with this type.
Race 5
(7) STORMONT CZAR A ships in for Team Buter off a very sharp score at Pocono and this team had a strong winner here the other night; import just needs to find a way into the race. (1) TWIN B SPEED DIAL was a good third last out following live flow and the versatile gelding can work out the winning trip from this spot. (4) BLAYDE HANOVER is off almost a month after a sick scratch but the Allard barn is going very well now and we've seen this type come ready for action in the past.
Race 6
(4) GREAT VINTAGE gets much-needed post relief, drawing inside his main rival here, off a decent effort last week from a no-chance spot. Veteran should be forwardly placed here and work out a live trip. (6) MACH IT SO also never got involved last out but moving in a couple of spots will help his cause. (7) BETTOR MEMORIES may be too far back to threaten but he's sharp and could rally for a piece.
Race 7
I'm usually not a fan of horses moving from the Monday night conditioned ranks to the Saturday night handicaps, but (3) WEONA SIZZLER A has looked like the real deal from day one and he was overloaded with pace coming home last out, plus he is a five-year-old. Harmon trainee should fit well here. (4) THEARTOFCONFUSION A has quietly earned $230K this year and lands a good piece almost every week; threat from this spot with live cover. (8) I'M SOME GRADUATE is stuck behind the eight ball but maybe Brennan can generate some early speed from him in hopes of improving position.
Race 8
(6) MAC'S JACKPOT never got involved last week as he got away last in a paceless race; he should be put in play earlier from this spot and can resume winning ways. (7) AIR STRIKE won't be able to walk to the half like he did last week but his early speed still makes him a big player. (5) SIR PUGSLEY steps back into this Open condition and is a master at hitting the ticket.
Race 9
(4) ABERDEEN HANOVER is not a prolific winner by any means but he's actually been very good in his last three with Vallee driving and he's clearly capable here with a live trip. (3) OH JOHNY B GOOD N qualified back well and is always a good fit at this level. (2) MCSPIDEY got lucky to slide out then stormed home last out to score and he stays at the same level but he's rather inconsistent and won't offer much of a price.
Race 10
(1) THE WAYFARING MAN hasn't fired his best off uncovered trips in his last two but he's likely to be on the lead or in a good stalking spot from this post; one more chance for this Burke trainee. (3) STARS ALIGN A has plenty of ability for Allard and is back in on consecutive weeks...a good sign. (4) CONTROL TOWER hadn't been racing badly here in recent weeks and returns off a win at Freehold.
