Yonkers: Saturday 11/3 Analysis

Best Bet: WESTERN DYNASTY (1st)
Spot Play: THE WAYFARING MAN (5th)
MEET STATS: 468 - 1298 / $2,499.80
BEST BETS: 66 - 112 / $212.60
Race 1
(2) WESTERN DYNASTY gets needed post relief, and more importantly, he drops in class and finds a very soft spot. Banca trainee looks like lock-city at a short price. (4) SOLO STORY returns locally off a nice win at The Meadowlands and has won at this level in the past. (5) VILLE VALO didn't fire as the favorite at Philly last week but he was racing well in prior starts.
Race 2
(3) DOCTOR BUTCH hasn't been at his best recently but he takes a needed drop in class and the classy veteran should respond. (4) LACHIE MAGUIRE N fits perfectly at this level but he may be at a tactical disadvantage depending on how aggressive the top choice gets early. (1) A BETTOR HAT is back up in class after crushing cheaper; I don't think he can win but he can be used underneath.
Race 3
(3) ANOTHER DAILY COPY was going nowhere in a hurry last week but he gets needed post relief tonight and should be leaving the gate. (4) SOHO LENNON A gets a free ride at this level after setting a lifetime mark last out. (5) SCOTCH MCEWAN was better last week, finishing with good pace from the pocket; Hudson trainee was Stratton's choice and he figures to be coming late.
Race 4
(2) FEEL THE NEED A didn't get involved last week after hiking to this level but the DiDomenico trainee has been very sharp and he does get some needed post relief. (1) CHEYENNE JEFFREY took a while to get going but then proved a solid uncovered winner last out; he's been live at this level pretty much all season. (5) BORDER CONTROL A moves in a few spots and figures to be more involved.
Race 5
(3) THE WAYFARING MAN was stung early in a :26 opening quarter last week and flattened a bit late; Brennan's back driving, and from a much better post. (1) CAPOZZO is clearly a threat with these, and a smoother trip wouldn't hurt. (2) BADIX HANOVER is up in class off a win but will need to go faster tonight in order to repeat.
Race 6
(5) MACH IT SO looked good to go last week but faltered deep stretch (breaking my heart in the process at 6/1); I believe the veteran is still sharp enough to get it done with a live trip. (3) PACING MAJOR N works his way back up to the Open ranks and has been right there in most recent efforts. (4) TECHTOR HANOVER has looked super on the front end in his last four and is in career form, earning a bump to the top level.
Race 7
(5) THEARTOFCONFUSION A always needs some help at some point but he's almost always coming late; with any sort of good pace setup he can sail home in time. (2) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN could have been a bit closer last out but generally the Tritton trainee is back in top form; inside post assignment helps. (4) BETTOR MEMORIES picked up a check from post eight last week passing tired ones; obviously the post relief helps.
Race 8
(4) SHANE ADAM gets Bartlett back in the bike tonight and meets a very soft NW30000 field; he's got as good a shot as any in here. (3) TAKE IT BACK TERRY has just been too unreliable recently to consider seriously for the top spot. (5) BLAYDE HANOVER debuts for Allard off the $40K claim and he's protected moving out of claimers; contender.
Race 9
(7) PHOTOBOMBR HANOVER failed to get involved last week from the outside post but with a better getaway tonight the 4-year-old is more than capable. (4) AIR STRIKE returns locally and had some good efforts here over the summer. (1) MACHIAVELLI did little uncovered last week but I keep waiting for the Banca trainee to show up with a big effort.
Race 10
(7) CAVIART LUCA gets some needed class relief then gets unlucky with the open draw; Burke trainee may be just a touch better than these and is definitely worth including if the price is right. (5) MAC'S JACKPOT drops from the Open 4YO ranks and moves in a couple of spots; big player. (2) GIVENUPDREAMING has been in good form for an extended period of time.
