Best Bet: MAINLAND KEY N (11th) Spot Play: EAGLE JOLT (1st)

Race 1

(4) EAGLE JOLT raced very willingly two back at this level; big threat here with any sort of trip. (1) MR TERRY FRA was nailed on the line from a similar spot recently. (3) CORKY BARAN has clearly tailed off, but he can be competitive with these just on memory.

Race 2

(5) WILLIE BOOTS may be able to make the lead if Pantaleano hustles him from the gate; he could go the distance if that's the case. (1) HURRIKANE SCOTTY J is too inconsistent for me to consider him for the top spot. (2) LOLAS CRUISER should be good enough to land a share.

Race 3

(7) M K G returned to town and looked strong in two straight starts; take him again. (2) AMERICAN GI has found a nice home at this level. (1) FAMEOUS WESTERN finished very willingly last week for a barn that's perked up of late.

Race 4

(2) ELECTRIC SHOOTER didn't fire off cover last week against arguably tougher; he might find this claiming level to his liking. (1) ARCTIC ESCAPE has good speed and the rail; must-use. (5) THESEYESARECRYING goes from the bottom-level claimers to this 50K level--totally unheard of, however he did dominate in that effort.

Race 5

(2) NOBLE FALCON is up in class off a defeat but he's classy enough to handle these. (1) DIGITAL Z TAM gets needed post relief which always puts him in the mix. (7) LIFE UP FRONT drops and he does have some hidden gate speed.

Race 6

(5) GREAT VINTAGE gets out of post eight, and while he still have some speedy types inside of him I have faith that Brennan will work out a winning trip. (3) CODE WORD was beaten on the engine by the surging gelding Or; he should hit the lead again tonight. (1) SAPPHIRE CITY returns from a failed try at Batavia; don't forget, he's the track record holder.

Race 7

(3) WAYNE THE LEFTY has been racing well for an extended period of time now and he has a real shot of reaching the winners circle from this spot. (2) REAL FLIGHT gets serious post relief and he looks like the one to beat. (8) ROCKIN GLASS has some Open wins to his credit and he's got the speed to overcome the eight hole.

Race 8

(3) EIGHTEEN ships from Canada to join the Mark Ford barn and this one's got plenty of speed and half-mile experience. (5) MC DYNAMITE reached the Open level then got bottomed out; he still might be fast enough to compete here. (1) GRAB YOUR KEYS can be counted on for a share.

Race 9

(5) WINTER RETREAT A has been closing a ton in all of his recent efforts; any sort of trip can take this. (4) DR CS Z TAM also rallied well in his latest; tough to completely eliminate any `Z Tam' horses. (1) VLOS will be close to the pace from this spot.

Race 10

(2) CHEYENNE KNIGHT was going nowhere last out upon his arrival; with the post reilef and Brennan driving this one's got a chance. (4) ELECTRIC OUI is back at the level of his big upset win. (5) THE POKESTER has been good since the Blumenfeld claim.

Race 11

(3) MAINLAND KEY N has had a good history here, including some action in the Levy; Goodell should have the veteran on or near the lead. (1) HANDSOME PRINCE has speed and the rail for Burke, good combo. (2) DASH N is back inside and he ran second with these two back.

Race 12

(5) REIBERCROMBIE was better (as expected) in his second start back from vacation; Casie Coleman trainee can progress even further tonight. (3) NOB HILL HIGH appears well overdue for a win; must-use. (1) VERSADO may try to blast down the road from the rail position.
