Yonkers: Racing returns this weekend

After its annual R&R, Yonkers Raceway returns this weekend.

A pair of 10-race cards were drawn for Friday and Saturday evenings (June 7^th and 8^th), with first post the usual 6:50 PM. Twin $44,000 Open Handicaps, for trotters (6^th race) and pacers (8^th race), highlight the Saturday program

A couple of reminders:

--there are morning draws for the cards of Monday, June 10^th (box closes Tuesday, June 4^th) and Tuesday, June 11^th (box closes Thursday, June 6^th), before the regular late afternoon draw schedule returns Friday, June 7^th (card of Thursday, June 13^th).

The morning box closes promptly at 9 AM.

--when racing resumes, there’s a Pick 5 guarantee going into effect. As part of the U.S. Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program and with the approval of the New York State Gaming Commission, a $10,000 guarantee is available every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening, the first night being Monday, June 10^th.

Should the sequence go unhit, the current ‘instant guarantee’ remains leading to the next racing program.

The Pick 5 is a 50-cent base wager comprising either races 6 through 10 (10-race card) or 7 through 11 (more than 10-race card). It has no consolation payoff, hence the shot at an ‘instant guarantee”.
