Yonkers: Pick 6 remains elusive, carryover on Monday
There were no winning tickets in the Pick 6 again on Saturday night (September 25) at Yonkers Raceway, and as a result, there will be a carryover of $8,853.52 on Monday night's (September.27) program.
Saturday night's on-track feature, the $48,000 Open Handicap Trot, was won by Madhatter Blue Chip (Greg Merton) in 1:55 4/5. Madhatter Blue Chip went to the lead from post one, posted fractions of 28 3/5, 59, and 1:27 1/5, and came home in 28 3/5 to defeat pocket-sitter Magic Vacation (Dan Dube) by a length and a half. Rock Of Cashel (Austin Siegelman) was third.
Tom Milici owns and trains Madhatter Blue Chip, a 9-year-old Muscle Hill gelding. This was his 36th career victory, and he has now earned $391,402. He paid $11.40 to win after being sent off at 9-2.
In other news, while the Pick 6 was not hit, the 50-cent Pick 5 was for a return of $8,022.75.
