Race 1 - NW2/25000LT Pace
(4) JOHNNY CHIMPO debuts for Banca tonight after having a strong season on the New York Fair Circuit. Wasn't bad from first-over in that NW3 last time out at Batavia and gets Bartlett tonight too. (1) ROGUE CHEDDAR seems like he'll be in position to sit in the pocket or cut it from the inside. Bartlett went to my top pick, but Dube is pretty aggressive usually. (2) TAP TAP TAP has been idle since 9-9 after the sick scratch but gets post relief from his one Yonkers appearance and owns a win over NW4's up at Tioga.
Race 2 - NW5050L5/12500CLM Trot
(2) MAJESTIC BRAYDEN comes down from Canada and into the Bongiorno barn tonight. Went some nice miles back in August and any repeat of that type of performance would serve him well here. (7) CLARION HALL rolled in his debut for DiDomenico last Monday, but he does move outside on the gate tonight, which tripped him up back on September 9. (4) MR POWERS took a run at Clarion Hall from first-over a week ago but had to settle for second. Drawn inside that foe this time.
Race 3 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace
(4) EVAS SPORTS CZECH missed last week with a sick scratch, but since she's right back in the box, I'll assume all systems are go and put her on top from a much better post than she had in her local debut. (1) SWEET SHE ROCK has been on the bench since July but is a new addition to the DiDomenico barn. Decent enough qualifier at Freehold where she rallied to win. (2) MISS REAL IDEAL found the NW4's pretty tough but slides back down to NW2 from a good post tonight. Was second in her last appearance in this class on August 12.
Race 4 - NW4/50000LT Pace
(2) BAD LOAD never really got in the hunt from an outside post last Monday, but shifts to the inside tonight, and hopefully that'll result in a winning effort. (3) LENWOODS REAL DEAL sat a pocket trip but lacked room through the stretch drive a week ago. Stratton was listed but opted off, so Dube gets a chance with him tonight. (1) GAMBLINGTERROR gets post relief this week, but he's been racking up the underneath finishes as of late. He was Stratton's choice in this race.
Race 5 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Trot
(3) FERRISWHEEL JUNKIE switches up drivers tonight with Brennan going in the bike, and that might result in a more aggressive steer. I'll give him a shot in this wide-open race and look for value. (5) QUICK DEAL has raced pretty well in his last two at Pocono and Saratoga, hitting the board in each of those efforts. Stratton was listed but went to another horse, so Marohn Jr. gets the call. (8) TACO TUESDAY might be the one to beat in here if you go back to that race at Harrah's Philly on 8-28, but he comes off two lines where he got parked at every call and has the outside, so I'll attempt to beat him.
Race 6 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace
(3) SHECANDANCE N put in a sustained rally and just ran out of racetrack last Monday. All of her efforts here have been good, including a win over NW4's. Bartlett drives this evening. (2) MONEY SHOT HANOVER has been a disappointment this year with no wins after being the NY Sire Stakes champion at two, but she has a trainer change to consider tonight with Bongiorno taking over, and she drew well. (1) SWEET MOVES really had nothing to offer a week ago as the favorite but shifts to the pole and might be able to sit in and get on the ticket.
Race 7 - NW4/50000LT Pace - *$10K GTD Pick 5*
(1) FAST ON THE DRAW has found the winning touch, scoring from first-over two back and then romping last week. Should have every opportunity to make it three straight from the pole position. (4) WHATS INTHE ESKY A is another contender for the Bongiornos tonight as he closed well in his debut for Jenn on 9-23. (5) BETTER THAN SOME rallied for third last Monday. He does own a win at this level three back, and maybe Bartlett will show more speed with him tonight.
Race 8 - NW6/75000LT Pace
(4) TELLAWOMAN wound up having to chase a well-meant May Bride Hanover last Monday from first-up and ran out of steam in the stretch. I think this is a little bit softer group tonight, and I'll use her. (6) COLOR ENVY showed a good closing kick from post eight a week ago. Has another outside draw tonight, but she's certainly a threat. (2) BULLVILLEKARLA has been at this level for a long while but is always capable of hitting the ticket when she draws inside like she does here.
Race 9 - NW6/75000LT Pace
(3) HYSTERIA stretched his win streak to four back on September 16, and I'll look for him to make it five tonight. Capable of wiring these up if that's the path Bongiorno decides to take, or going by from first-over. (1) AMERICAN ADMIRAL went off form for a bit but has gotten going again in his last two, finishing second to a stakes horse in Escapetothebeach and then Hysteria last time out. (5) NUMBERED ACCOUNT closed well in the stretch behind a very good DA Delightful last Monday. Brennan picked off again, but Stratton is a solid replacement.
Race 10 - NW15000L5/Winners of NW10000L5 in Last Start Pace
(1) TOATSMYGOATS scored nicely at Pocono two back and then was a solid fourth behind stakes winners like Western Joe and Bettor's Edge last time out. Nothing wrong with his efforts against NW30000L5's or NW20000L5's when last seen locally in mid-August. (2) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN has been finishing his miles well but with little to show for it. Gets an inside draw tonight and a bit of class relief, so maybe that'll get him going in the third start back off the brief hiatus. (7) CHRISTEN ME N can certainly never be counted out against this company given all his back class. Does have an outside post tonight, though, so I'll take a stand against.
Race 11 - NW15000L5/Winners of NW10000L5 in Last Start Pace
(1) ARTIFACT HANOVER lands the pole position tonight after having a trailing post ten and post seven in his last two. Was racing pretty well last month at the NW20000L5 level, including a rallying second. Let's give him a shot at what should be a decent price. (5) FEELING CAM LUCKY cruised two straight times over at Pocono and invades tonight. Showed plenty of early speed in Pennsylvania, so he might be able to grab the lead. (3) GIVENUPDREAMING will probably be the favorite in here coming off those races in the opens at Pocono. He has just one win here at Yonkers this year, and I'll look elsewhere in hopes of beating him.
