Race 1
(7) I CHOOSE YOU failed to get involved into a quick back half last week in her local debut but did pace home evenly; Godinez trainee seems capable of better. (6) SHELLIE DE VIE shipped in for Banca and was a decent second; player. (1) BRONSKIMACKENZIE A is yet another Down-under shipper who merits respect right off the bat.
Race 2
(3) VERDI D EM put in a speed-tightening effort last week and tired after going down the road; French import should revert to off-the-pace tactics and doesn't seem impossible at this bottom level. (1) MERRY HANOVER also dropped to this class last out and showed improvement. (5) PINGALING returns locally off a clean line at Freehold and the DiDomenico trainee could show more.
Race 3
(6) FOX VALLEY B GUMP clearly has ability off those few efforts in Illinois and now he ships in and joins a top barn; late-bloomer could be a good fit here. (5) MOUNT ROYAL didn't fire last week but seems capable of better. (2) AMERICA'S GUEST moves into the Banca barn off a series of dull efforts.
Race 4
(2) PAINTED LADY has been facing tons better and hasn't been awful; Croghan trainee will be a short price but should handle these. (3) LYONS JENNIELEE steps up for Allard off two game local wins and she looks for four straight overall. (5) BILLIE MCJEAN arrives from Philly and has looked good for her new connections.
Race 5
(3) LISBURN raced well enough to win last week upon arrival but was run down by a sharp rival; I'll give him another chance despite Sears opting off. (4) YOU SAID IT ships in with some stellar Tioga form and the aforementioned Sears hops on board. (8) TIVO HANOVER can clearly go with these but lands in a tough spot; consider underneath at a price.
Race 6
(2) QUEEN LOSTRIS N loses her regular pilot who is out of town but has just looked too sharp to pass on. (1) COVEREDINDIAMONDS N beat the top choice three back but then faltered in her last two upstate; still a major player from this spot. (7) POPPY DRAYTON N is perfect since arriving in the U.S. beating lesser at Saratoga and she takes the next logical step shipping to Yonkers but she lands in a very tough spot here; consider for a minor share and keep an eye on her for future weeks.
Race 7
(8) WHOS BETTER raced very well upon arrival in his initial start for Lance Hudson; clearly the post hurts but he could be a good price in this competitive event. (4) IDEAL FLIP broke last week and burned the money; better value tonight if you stick with him. (5) SIMPLE KINDA MAN invades from Mohawk Park and could fit well here.
Race 8
(3) BLACK CHEVRON N has clearly hinted at ability and the import looks to be in a better spot if his pilot wants to try aggressive handling. (2) AVATAR J loses his regular driver but gets post relief and should be a player. (1) HAPPY TRIO never got into it last week but was a blowout winner the start prior.
Race 9
(2) MICKY GEE N looks for three straight and was particularly good last week with his uncovered effort; top billing. (3) SOMEBADDUDE broke in his last local start but all other races have been solid. (1) KEYSTONE PHOENIX draws best again and gets Marohn in the bike tonight subbing for Schnittker.
Race 10
(4) HURRICANE BEACH has just insane speed and should be fun to watch whether he lasts to the wire or not. (3) ODDS ON DELRAY has won three of his last six but I still get the feeling he has underachieved. (5) THOR DE VIE has behaved himself in his last two while beating up on Excelsior types.
Race 11
(4) CAPOZZO can go with these and lands a good post to work out a winning trip in the finale. (3) SHADY CITY returns locally for Stalbaum and he's capable of grinding a long way. (1) TORRID BROMAC N has won at this level in the past and usually goes well from inside post positions.
