Yonkers: Monday 8/6 Analysis

Best Bet: ISLAND MUSIC (3rd)
Spot Play: SUDDENLY SAM (5th)
MEET STATS: 314 - 884 / $1,781.10
BEST BETS: 44 - 75 / $144.10
Race 1
(4) SHEBANG N was a bit trip-aided last week as the pocket sitter pulled and softened the leader but she finished strongly to win and the recent import could be even better tonight. (5) TWIN B HALO may try taking this field down the road again like she did before getting collared by the top one. (7) PINEBUSHLOLA was driven aggressively in that same race and gave way; she will be a big price tonight and may crash the exotics.
Race 2
This race came up pretty strong for a random NW4...(4) SUMMER TRAVEL made the Adios final at The Meadows and was a tad overmatched; Harris trainee should find this spot much more to his liking. (6) ALBERGO HANOVER bounced back from that equipment break and was a sharp winner for Team Bongiorno; would be no surprise if he was prominent here. (5) MICKY GEE N makes his U.S. debut off a steady qualifier; as always these types command instant respect.
Race 3
(2) ISLAND MUSIC was no match late for the pocket-rocket winner last week but a similar effort can topple these. (2) CLEMSON raced very well two back upon arrival then got totally lost at the back of the pack last out; he should be much closer to the action tonight with the post relief. (1) NATIVES BEST BET clearly needs to show much more late but perhaps he can hang around and hit the bottom of the ticket.
Race 4
(4) INTERNET HANOVER is one of two Ontario shippers in here and he joins the always potent DiDomenico barn; worth a try. (5) ALI was caught up in a 1:51 2/5 mile last out and was a distant fourth; Lachance trainee beat similar two back. (1) DENVER SEELSTER also arrives from the Ontario 'B' circuit off two solid efforts over the half mile and was Sears' choice over an Allard trainee.
Race 5
(5) SUDDENLY SAM was outbattled by a tough rival last week in a well-meant effort and he could offer a bit more value then main rival (2) ROCK LIGHTS. The latter exits the tough NYSS circuit where he certainly didn't disgrace himself in his last two races and he picks up Bartlett from a better post. (6) HE'S ELECTRIC tried to pike it in an Excelsior race last week and caved late; expect an off-the-pace try and he can pick up the pieces.
Race 6
(5) QUEEN LOSTRIS N was certainly ready to go upon arrival from New Zealand and the Garcia-Herrera trainee will look to double up against pretty much the same group. (3) FINE ART was run over late by the top one last week and another speed try may be in the works. (1) STONEBRIDGE HONEY raced okay last week finishing third in behind the top two and she'll have to find more to improve that placing tonight.
Race 7
(1) QUICK ASA TRICK N really had no excuse last week and even blew second late; this is arguably an easier spot and the Cassar trainee deserves one more chance. (3) SETTLEMOIR gets post relief and will awaken one of these weeks. (4) BIG JER lands in a better spot tonight; can he leave the gate to set up a trip behind the top choice?
Race 8
(1) MESSI N has come up just short in two tries since arriving in the U.S. but he should be set up perfectly from this spot. (4) THOR DE VIE has jogged in three straight; obvious player. (2) KEYSTONE PHOENIX should save ground from this spot and can hold off the rest.
Race 9
(7) GILLY'S BOY was simply second best last week to a very formful winner; Burke trainee has the speed to overcome the outside post. (4) NOX VEGAS BLUE CHIP is racing too well to still be shut out on the season. (1) TREMENDOUS PLAY was just that last week with a sharp front-end score; Banca trainee may have to be even better tonight to repeat.
Race 10
(1) CHANTEPLEURE pretty much went through the motions in his last three from tough spots but four back he wired a similar field from the inside post; he gets a weak call in the finale. (5) AZUL POOL didn't fire with his best last week from off the pace but I can see Stratton getting on the move with him early tonight. (2) HIGLAND TARTAN has been sharp without a victory to show for it and now he faces tougher; use underneath.
