Yonkers: Monday 8/27 Analysis

Best Bet: TREMENDOUS PLAY (9th)
Spot Play: FRANCO RAYNER N (10th)
MEET STATS: 355 - 986 / $1,975.20
BEST BETS: 48 - 84 / $158.80
Race 1
(2) TWIN B HALO failed to make the front last week and completely stalled trying to make a second move, burning all the money in the process. From this spot she can rebound on the front end. (6) LYONS JENNIELEE and (5) PARKIN IN HEAVEN are a couple of Pocono shippers for good barns and either or both will be in the thick of this.
Race 2
(1) INTERNET HANOVER gave it an aggressive try two back upon arrival then pretty much toured the track from the eight hole with Lasix added; worth serious consideration with the move all the way inside. (4) MISS U BIG MIKE ships from the Indiana fair circuit off a nice win and he should fit well here. (3) NIHILATED TRUTH bounced back with a much better effort last week.
Race 3
(3) TIVO HANOVER was a well rated and sharp front-end winner upon arrival for good connections and he seems capable of taking another. (1) ARAMIS N is fresh stock from Down-Under for Tritton who obviously merits consideration. (8) YEAHNAH is a late bloomer with serious ability but he has to overcome the eight hole tonight; can Marohn Jr generate enough early speed?
Race 4
(1) SILK REED is one of many NYSS defectors in this overnight event and she seems as capable as any in here from the best post. (2) ASREAL AS IT GETS has looked good on occasion but is still winless on the year. (4) APOTHIC looks like she has the strongest early speed.
Race 5
(6) IDEAL FLIP shows solid efforts three and four back at Philly before failing to fire versus minor stakes company; he picks up Stratton upon arrival and could be the best price of the contenders. (3) ROCKIN RUSTY returns from a good stint at Hoosier and picks up Bartlett after moving to the Banca barn. Big chance here but will likely be way overbet. (1) TEN BEACHES LATER was a very well-meant winner at a big price last out but he faces tougher tonight.
Race 6
(6) QUEEN LOSTRIS N was picked off at the wire last week by a horse that has shown plenty of ability and the Garcia-Herrera trainee deserves another try. (1) MELANIE'S FILLY raced pretty well holding nicely after an uncovered trip last out with Dube at the controls and the speedy mare draws best; interesting that Allard goes back to Brennan here. (3) LINE DANCER was a good front-end winner versus a notch lesser and anything from the Bucci barn has to be respected.
Race 7
(5) SOMEBADDUDE powered off by open lengths in 1:51 2/5 when last at Yonkers; top billing. (4) AVATAR J was dueled into submission last week by a sharp longshot but he had missed a few weeks prior to that race and he's right back in the box tonight. (1) KEYSTONE PHOENIX gets needed post relief for Schnittker, who could try taking this field down the road.
Race 8
(1) MICKY GEE N finished in :27 flat last week from a no-chance spot; Lance Hudson trainee seems like routine selecting with the move all the way inside. (4) SUDDENLY SAM gave way badly last out but his prior races with Holland driving were super. (2) NICOL SHARD was a winner at first asking upon arrival from Down-Under but that was an easy spot that night.
Race 9
(4) TREMENDOUS PLAY went through the motions touring the track last week from the eight hole at a million to one; he picks up Bartlett while landing in a much more realistic spot. (1) ODDS ON DELRAY seemed vulnerable at odds-on last out and folded up after Zeron set a fast pace; can the Alagna trainee rebound? (3) MAGRITTE can usually be counted on for a share.
Race 10
(4) FRANCO RAYNER N needed last week's race and finished up willingly; he draws inside the logical (5) WESTERN DYNASTY tonight and should be firing to the front. The latter is quality stock from Banca and he's looking for two straight. (3) OUR ZAK WHITBY N was in a no-chance spot in his U.S. debut and now a drops a notch while getting post relief; I couldn't fault anyone for using this Dilloian trainee.
