Yonkers: Monday 8/20 Analysis

Best Bet: TWIN B HALO (1st)
Spot Play: QUEEN LOSTRIS N (9th)
MEET STATS: 341 - 950 / $1,921.60
BEST BETS: 47 - 81 / $156.60
Race 1
(6) TWIN B HALO has been close up in her last two after flashing good speed; she may just be a bit faster than these. (8) PINEBUSHLOLA raced gamely last out off a tough trip and I'll throw her on the tickets again looking for a big price. (2) OH WHATA NIGHTJOHN ships in from Scioto and may appreciate the change in scenery.
Race 2
(4) WINNERUP has broken stride in two of three lifetime starts but clearly he has ability; if Smedshammer can keep his mind on business he has a big chance. (1) JASON'S CAMDEN looks for three straight for Team Miller; logical favorite. (2) SIMPLE KAOS added the hobbles in that qualifier last week and stayed flat in a winning effort; always a huge angle.
Race 3
(3) ISLAND MUSIC proved no match for a longshot going a huge trip last out and had to settle for second; Allard trainee can resume winning ways from this spot. (6) AMERICAN ASSASSIN raced great in that qualifier and anything from the hot Bucci barn has to be respected. (4) THUNDER SOME WHERE ships from Mohawk, joins the Surick barn and did have a winning effort there five back.
Race 4
(3) LIGHT'S COME ON had some trouble in the NYSS but dropped to the Excelsior 'A' level and cruised at odds-on; colt picks up Bartlett for the always dangerous Lorentzon barn. (6) JAKE G'S CHAMPION also moves out of the NYSS, where he certainly didn't disgrace himself; should be a big player here. (2) PUSHTHEBUTTONMAX has been second best in his last two and he lands a good inside post.
Race 5
(5) LABADEE AS broke from the rail last week in a NYSS event but his prior two were jogola-type scores at this Excelsior 'A' level, and one of those was with Sears at the controls, who is in the bike tonight. (2) GYPSY RAIN tries Dube in the sulky and maybe he can straighten out this Svanstedt trainee. (3) LEAP YEAR LUCKY was second best versus similar last out for Dan Daley, who always seems to come out of these events with money.
Race 6
(2) CAVILL HANOVER has won three of four in the NYSS to start his career with Svanstedt in the bike, and now Dube drives; he's got a big post edge on (8) GIMPANZEE which may make the difference. The latter looks clearly fastest here and will heva to overcome the right hole to remain perfect. (1) HORNS FOR THREE has picked up his game with the trotting hobbles added.
Race 7
(6) LINE DANCER exits NYSS action for this overnight event and she was an easy winner when last in with this type. (5) CONWAY BEACH likely needed that last start and the Tritton trainee can be more involved tonight. (1) BULLVILLEKARLA does have some speed and the best draw.
Race 8
(5) THUNDER has really put it all together in his last two with sharp off-the-pace scores; he can roll by these late with smooth sailing. (1) KEYSTONE CASH adds the hobbles for Takter and we'll see if it helps this youngster out. (2) CERTIFY hasn't raced badly at all in the NYSS and he gets a driver upgrade to Jeff Gregory.
Race 9
(5) QUEEN LOSTRIS N has looked very impressive in her two U.S. starts and there’s no reason why she can't take another. (1) COVEREDNDIAMONDS N had no excuse last out and now has missed three weeks; hoping for a return to her prior form. (4) MELANIE'S FILLY broke before the start in last, and that was almost a month ago; she's got solid speed if she's ready to go.
Race 10
(3) AVATAR J has done little wrong since arriving from Canada and he was Bartlett's obvious choice in here. (7) TITANIUM N lands a tough outside post but he has the ability and should be a healthy price if Holland can get her into the game. (1) ROCKIN INTHE HILLS returns from Saratoga off a sharp score versus lesser.
Race 11
(2) YOUCANIKNOW put in a big, big effort last week and he can win another if he repeats that performance. (3) BLACK CHEVRON should be ready to go now making his U.S. debut. (7) SUMMER TRAVEL was second best to a very good one two back.
Race 12
(6) OSTRO HANOVER raced well to be second best in the NYSS off the Allard purchase and he could be good enough to get it done in this overnight event. (2) ROCKAPELO comes out of the same race as the top choice and now gets major post relief. (1) LATE MAIL N was a solid second last out he has good speed from the best post.
