Yonkers: Monday 7/30 Analysis

Best Bet: AVATAR J (6th)
Spot Play: ALOTBETTOR N (12th)
MEET STATS: 300 - 848 / $1,693.20
BEST BETS: 41 - 72 / $134.60
Race 1
(2) PINEBUSHLOLA is still a maiden but has certainly raced well enough in most of those efforts to win; filly has a post edge on her main rivals. (7) TWIN B HALO was close up here two back in a quick mile; Bartlett will have her forwardly placed off the gate. (5) SHEBANG N makes just her second U.S. start and the Down-Under shipper just paced evenly over at The Meadowlands.
Race 2
(5) YESSIRIMGONE has been a very consistent sort with board placings in all his lifetime starts and he was a good second at a big price in the Excelsior last week. (4) LETS ROLL and (3) CASUAL COOL had both raced well enough recently and are quite logical from these spots.
Race 3
(3) MACH N CHEESE jogged two back in an Excelsior A division at Goshen and he's had some big efforts over the Yonkers oval. (2) MAJOR OFFENSE is clearly the main threat to the top choice and may have a tactical edge on that one. (1) HE'S ELECTRIC burned money in a couple of local starts but he figures to be close up from this spot and can complete a chalky triple.
Race 4
(3) ISLAND MAGIC blew away an inconsistent field last week in a much-improved performance and the Allard trainee can double up. (2) ROCKIN INTHE HILLS ships in from Indiana, joins a live barn and picks up leading driver Bartlett. (5) DOWAHS BOY and (6) OUTSTANDING PAYDAY are a couple of interesting Maritimes shippers who oddly land in the same race. 'Dowahs' had a nice acclimating win at Tioga while 'payday' joins Team Bongiorno. Keep an eye on both.
Race 5
(1) STONEBRIDGE HONEY is one I've been following for quite some time now and she's had some nice efforts here; give her the edge from the best post. (4) CARLY GIRL probably had no excuse when she faltered late and was nailed by (5) FINE ART. Use both underneath, and maybe throw in (6) PRINCESS HOLLY N who hails from a barn that's done good things with these imports.
Race 6
(1) AVATAR J was given no chance to win last week when Bartlett decided to strangle her back to last midway on the first turn when parked out; there will be no such problems tonight. (4) SUDDENLY SAM has looked good in two local starts for Erv Miller; Holland's choice. (5) JOHN DALLY was second best to a total runaway last week in a very fast mile.
Race 7
(2) SPRINGSTEEN is clearly a 'Jekyll and Hyde' type...which version will show up tonight? The Hempt winner or the version who failed miserably in the Rooney and the Adios? Tough to take odds-on to find out. (5) TOPVILLE OLYMPIAN and (6) ROOTIN TOOTIN will both undoubtedly be looking to leave the gate and can take all if the top choice falters.
Race 8
(7) OSTRO HANOVER looked good from day one for the lesser known Frank Yanoti barn and I guess it was only a matter of time before one of the 'big boys' made him an offer he couldn't refuse. I absolutely have to play him here in his debut for Allard. (2) TRUMP NATION was the Rooney winner and now looks for three straight in the NYSS; clearly the one to beat. (5) MY DELIGHT is reunited with Holland and they teamed up for an upset win here a couple of months ago.
Race 9
(3) COVEREDNDIAMONDS N has looked awesome in every start since arriving in the U.S. and there's no reason to jump ship now. (4) KEYSTONE NIKKI moved to the Banca barn and won at first asking; main threat. (5) KAITLYN N went a huge trip in defeat here two back.
Race 10
(3) NOX VEGAS BLUE CHIP staggered late and was caught in deep stretch last week; he's too good to still be shut out on the season. (4) TREMENDOUS PLAY closed a ton last out and should be closer tonight. (1) KEYSTONE PHOENIX gets needed post relief and has proven good enough to hit the ticket with these.
Race 11
(5) GILLY'S BOY chased home a tough one last week and was a good second; Burke trainee can take control here and last the distance. (2) FULLBACK is back with Bartlett and has been super recently; why the three weeks off? (8) ODDS ON DELRAY faces a much bigger test tonight but at least the price will be right.
Race 12
(2) ALOTBETTOR N will be in line for a much better trip tonight; Bongiorno trainee faces a tough foe in (1) BLOOD BROTHER but deserves top billing. (1) BLOOD BROTHER is up in class and is feeling good again. (4) AZUL POOL fits with these and round out the bottom of the ticket.
