Race 1
(1) SOMEANGELSOMEWHERE raced pretty well last week off the freshening and deserves a look at the top spot from the best post. (6) CARLO'S SUPERSTAR was outgamed late by the horse on her back in her local return for Allard and she could be even better tonight. (3) LEAN ON WHO added Lasix last out and showed some improvement but that 1 for 40 lifetime record is tough to ignore.
Race 2
(2) ISLAND MUSIC was on the move early at a big price and got hung the duration before understandably tiring; Allard trainee has really done nothing since arriving at Yonkers but there's nothing in this race to get excited about and I'll take a look if he's close to his 12/1 morning line. (8) CLEMSON raced very well upon arrival to be second best and he would be my top choice if not for the post. (7) NIHILATED TRUTH won at 1/9 upon shipping from Indiana but showed little in his next two starts from poor posts; he's another to take a look at if the price is right.
Race 3
(4) TITANIUM N raced well off a live trip in his U.S. debut and the recent import can build off that effort. (3) YEAHNAH is perfect to start his career; Pelling trainee is the one to beat. (1) YOU GOT TRUMPED raced better last week at Philly and draws best for live connections.
Race 4
(2) CARLY GIRL was victimized by poor posts and tough trips in her last two; move inside stamps her as the one to defeat. (5) FINE ART steps up off a win and picks up Brennan as Bartlett opted for the top choice. (8) STONEBRIDGE HONEY was a game second in her last two and should be a nice price again; consider using if you think Sears tries to put her into play.
Race 5
(4) JOHN DALLY has raced well in all recent tries and appears overdue to score his first 2018 win. (3) WESTERN PASSAGE had no real excuse in his initial try upon shipping from Mohawk; he picks up Bartlett now going for the Harris barn. (5) SOMEBADDUDE was second best to a good one last week.
Race 6
(7) ALBERGO HANOVER raced super in his initial two starts after shipping in to join Team Bongiorno then broke in the first turn last week leaving hard from the rail; he deserves another try tonight at that totally incorrect and deceptive 12/1 morning line, (8) AVATAR J took advantage of the miscue by the top one and jogged at a generous 3/1 making it three straight after arriving locally; big threat despite the worst post. (1) SUDDENLY SAM took care of business last week despite the broken equipment; rail spot makes him an obvious player.
Race 7
(2) MELANIE'S FILLY gave way without much of a fight last week but she's clearly better than that and rebound if left alone on the front end. (3) FOOLISH HEART raced very well upon arrival and can built off that effort. (4) KEYSTONE NIKKI moves into the Banca barn and picks up Bartlett; consider.
Race 8
(2) AMERICANFIREWATER was stuck uncovered into a heavy favorite last week; this looks like a better spot starting inside some of his main competition. (4) NOX VEGAS BLUE CHIP just missed in last and that's five consecutive solid local efforts. (3) LUCBOBSKI finished close up last week but really had no excuse to be outfinished late.
Race 9
(6) SUMMER SIDE is still trying to find his level but he's been good in his last few and I like the move to Stratton. (4) HIGHVIEW CONALL N has hit the ticket in three of his last four. (5) ART HISTORY was no match for the top two last week but was third best; could hit the ticket again with a smooth trip.
Race 10
(8) TJ BLAST jogged upon arrival making it eight of nine this year, and now goes for Banca off what looks like a private purchase; I suspect he won't skip a beat despite the eight hole. (3) GILLYS BOY broke leaving last week; prior effort was good. (2) NORMANDY BEACH is still shut out on the season; use underneath.
Race 11
(3) BRAVE WORLD sizzled on the front end before giving way in his last local try; Allard trainee could strike from slightly off the pace this time. (1) CHUMLEE A was an easy winner versus lesser at Saratoga and lands the best post in his local return. (2) OH JOHNY BE GOOD N is back up in class off a solid two-move effort last week.
