Race 1 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace
(7) TOPVILLE OLIVIA didn't have a great experience at Yonkers back on 5-13, but has a win against NW2's and then a solid third against NW4's at Pocono since then. Catches the right type of field here to win against. (1) RHODATOLDME was a rallying second to Topville Olivia at Pocono on 5-20 and then found the Excelsior A Series waters a bit deep. Much more realistic spot here and draws the rail. (2) MUSIC MATTERS is another dropper out of the Excelsior A Series. Raced well at Vernon and then tired badly from post eight at Tioga. The former performance would be quite competitive here.
Race 2 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Trot
(1) REVRAC HARBOUR switches out of the Billings Series Amateur races and gets a major pilot change with Bartlett taking over. In this bottom-level condition class, that's good enough for me. (7) URSIS DES CAILLONS won his first three last year after coming over from France but has gone downhill since. Could wakeup in this spot for the Bongiorno barn, though. (2) LANDONFITZ has also been mixing overnight starts at the Meadowlands with appearances in the Billings Series. Was an even fifth against what are probably better horses last week at the Meadowlands.
Race 3 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace
(6) MARYMACISBACK absolutely dominated NW3's at Harrah's Philly two back and then stopped last Friday. I'll hope for a quick turnaround. (2) DELIGHTFUL TRYSTA couldn't get involved last Monday night but she has hit the board in her prior two efforts in Westchester. Probably the weakest bunch in this class she's faced too. (1) TWENTY WITH SKINNY was a decent fourth two back in the NW3 class at Harrah's Philly and then was in a race Ponder The Odds went a huge mile and won by open lengths. Gets to leave from the rail and picks up Sears in her Yonkers return.
Race 4 - NW2/25000LT / NW4/50000LT Drawn Outside Pace
(7) DANCIN LOU broke before the start last Monday but was absolutely flying from an impossible spot to hit the board. I'll bank on him staying flat this time at hopefully a better price. (5) ROCK THE DEVIL has been red-hot out of town and finds a good spot to give Yonkers a try. (3) COOL YOUR HEELS was a solid second behind a well-meant Rockme Rollme a week ago. Kept Bartlett over a Banca trainee.
Race 5 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace
(1) TOPVILLE ANGELINA battled the top-level New York Sire Stakes fillies as rookie and had a couple of Grand Circuit tries as well. Strong second in the Excelsior A Series up at Tioga and gets the pole and Bartlett tonight. (5) SIESTA BEACH cruised over NW2's at Yonkers on 5-6 and has been racing well in the Excelsior A Series since that time. (4) UNSPOKEN PROMISE topped NW3's at Harrah's Philly with a stout first-over effort last time out. Lost Bartlett but gets a more-than-capable replacement in Zeron.
Race 6 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace
(1) TRIPLE DIP has won in this class two straight times and gets a third crack at it as she stays under the earnings cap. Sears hopped off, so Dexter Dunn goes on. (3) STORM SURVIVOR got the nod from Sears. No wins this season, but she has been performing well in the Excelsior A Series. (4) LOVERS COVE got loose and held on to win last week in her debut for Blackler. Looks like a tougher group here.
Race 7 - NW2/25000LT Pace - $10K GTD Pick 5
(2) OREN rallied belatedly to get second in his Yonkers debut a week ago, and I'm expecting a stronger effort with a race over the track now. (5) PASSA-GRILLE BEACH joins the Jeff Cullipher barn tonight after what looks like a private purchase. Has been red-hot out of town, winning three straight. (1) VIRGIN STORM got a crafty drive from Siegelman last week to pull the upset. Draws inside after having the seven last Monday, which should aid his chances.
Race 8 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace
(3) DEMI HILL invades after winning four straight in Pennsylvania, including a round of the Stallion Series last time out at The Meadows. (1) SEZANA N disappointed as the favorite last Monday but gets some major post relief tonight, sliding to the rail from post seven. (6) MONEY SHOT HANOVER was the New York Sire Stakes champion as a rookie but is looking for a wakeup call as she has not been racing well this year. Dexter Dunn gets a chance to handle her this evening.
Race 9 - F&M NW6/77500 LT / F&M NW8 Drawn Outside Pace
(5) SHEBANG N got back to her old self last Monday night with a victory, and I'll look for her to double up tonight. (2) CHARMS LIL SIS crunched NW4's a week ago in Westchester and takes the step up the class ladder tonight. Has been sharp for Blackler, so I don't see that as a big deal, especially from a good draw. (7) DARK FORCE has been battling some hard-knocking mares in Pennsylvania and returns to Yonkers tonight for the first time since back in March.
Race 10 - F&M NW6/75000LT Pace
(4) AZREAL AS IT GETS had a long break from September of last year to May of this year but has come back well with a win and a third in her last two at Harrah's Philly. Knows her way around Yonkers as a regular in the Sire Stakes program as a rookie and a sophomore. (4) BULLVILLEKARLA gave the Meadowlands one try while Yonkers was on hiatus and found it tough. Was racing quite well in this class in Westchester prior to the break, so we'll see if she can pick up where she left off. (5) SO LONG DARLING was a strong second behind the well-meant Shebang N last Monday night but is just one-for-12 in the win column this season.
Race 11 - NW6/75000LT Pace
(6) DA DELIGHTFUL goes for his seventh straight win tonight, and I see him getting it, even with the presence of a couple new faces. (1) CRUSADES ships east from The Meadows and into the Harmon barn. Super second-place effort behind Proof, last year's PA Sire Stakes champion and Breeders Crown runner-up, in his most recent appearance. (3) JUST PLAIN LOCO has been sharp for Fanning, both in overnights and stakes tries.
Race 12 - NW8/102500LT Pace
(4) ALLUNEEDISFAITH N made one appearance at Yonkers in this class before the track went on hiatus and raced well, then turned in a super qualifier at the Meadowlands. Horse was accomplished Down Under, winning a Group 3 race and finishing fourth in a Group 1 on the page (2-16). Zeron's choice. (7) TWIN B TUFFENUFF is on a sustained form spree. Was racing well at Yonkers through April and May and kept it rolling out of town. Picks up Dexter Dunn tonight with Zeron opting to drive my top choice. (3) WHOS BETTER has been racing against good horses in the NW17500L5 class over at Pocono recently but heads back east tonight. Rolled over NW6's in Westchester back in April.
