Race 1
(6) ABSOLUTELY BEST ships in for good connections and looks ready to go off those qualifiers. (3) GOLD STAR LOVEBUG arrives from Florida where she raced well without a victory to show for it and the mare should fit nicely here. (8) RITA MAID looks for two straight off the bench but needs to generate some early speed from this spot.
Race 2
(2) WESTERN CREDIT is hard to figure sometimes but his best effort should be enough to handle these. (1) HOORAYFORVACATION gets an important driver change to Stratton. (3) MASTER OF EXCUSES ships in for Rick Dane and does show a win at The Meadowlands a few back.
Race 3
(1) UNCLE HAL charged home last out from the eight hole, now draws best. (4) CHEYENNE REIJANE needs to show more late but he does have early speed which can put him into play. (2) TRIBAL WAR debuts for Sholty and picks up Bartlett which makes him an automatic use...sounds familiar, no?
Race 4
(5) TWINKLE is a perfect three-for-three to start her career and the late bloomer should have more to offer shipping in. (1) AMERIWAY is another Erv Miller trainee who qualified nicely. (6) YS TALLIA has hinted at real ability in her brief career.
Race 5
(1) JULIO'S GIRL debuts for new connections here and may try taking this field down the road. (4) GIMME SOME LOVIN' gets some needed post relief. (3) KAY'S DELIGHT has had some decent efforts sprinkled in her lines recently.
Race 6
(6) TICK TOK TAG tried cutting the mile last out and was overtaken by classy rivals in a quick time; chance here for off-the-pace heroics at a better price. (5) SAINT SIMEON ships from Philly, where he was likely facing better. (8) DRIVING MISS CRAZY has some speed for the live Garcia-Herrera barn.
Race 7
(3) ROCK IT SCOTT ships in for Burke, finds a questionable field here and gets a weak call. (7) JK NOWORNEVER has found the going a bit tougher after graduating to the NW4 level but the gelding has ability. (2) SUNKEN TREASURE was empty last out but closed crisply the start prior.
Race 8
(1) WESTERN TYRANT has faced some decent stock out of town and ran well in the Sagamore here earlier in the year; top billing from the best post and from live connections. (6) AMERICAN WIGGLE has been sharp up at Saratoga and had a big effort locally a few back. (2) MIGHTY COWBOY goes second-time Lasix and gets post relief.
Race 9
(1) SHADY STELLA has taken two straight since shipping in for Surick and she'll likely be odds-on to take another. (4) WALK TWO MOONS was collared by the top choice last out but she seems eligible for improvement. (5) FROG POND PRINCESS never misses a check and does move in a few spots; include underneath.
Race 10
(2) WESTERN DYNASTY returns locally off a win and surfaces in the almighty Buzzy Sholty barn; expect good things. (4) ITS JUST TOO MUCH has raced well with this type in the past and will be a good price. (1) SAFENSOUND HANOVER gets much needed post relief.
Race 11
If you saw the way (3) BEACH OGRE won last out then you know it's impossible to pick against him. (1) VORACITY managed a small share from a tough spot last out; major post relief tonight. (6) CULTURAL PARADISE is undefeated this year but seems to be in a tougher spot tonight.
Race 12
(4) RODEO ROCK has seemed to mature in a hurry and may be better from off the pace; worth a play as the likely best price of the contenders. (2) NEVER SAY NEVER N seems to have forgotten how to win after a perfect start to his season. (1) ARTMAGIC was a game winner last week; obvious threat again.
