Race 1
(6) STAND BY ME is perfect in her young career and has already shown versatility; takes another. (4) ST HELENA was very game in defeat in her seasonal debut and can be even stronger tonight. (1) DIRECT MACAWESOME took care of business at 1/9 down at Philly in her 3-year-old debut for Erv Miller; consider.
Race 2
(6) PIG HUNT has come back pretty sharp this season with two nice efforts at Saratoga and she's raced well here in the past. (2) WYGANT PRINCE exits the amateur ranks and the veteran is still competitive. (5) KINETIC KING ships from Canada, joins the Harmon barn and could be a good fit here but it's tough to take at any sort of short price.
Race 3
(1) GEEZ JOE is another Erv Miller trainee who draws best upon arrival off a nice seasonal debut; he can be as good as any here in this competitive event. (5) THEATER MAJOR is two-for-two this season and the Steve Elliott trainee could have more to offer. (2) TREASURE MACH has raced much better in his last two with Lasix added.
Race 4
(5) KAP TIN MORGAN qualified effectively last week in the slop getting beaten late by a more accomplished rival; Harmon trainee could be ready to roll at first asking. (4) SHE'S A BILLIONAIR had some decent moments as a freshman in the NYSS and Bartlett picks up the drive. (2) IDEAL CLASSIC has been okay in her brief career and the filly can be considered from this inside post.
Race 5
(3) JOE'S BID qualified effectively over at The Meadowlands chasing a quick mile; he raced well here last year in NY bred events and he should be forwardly placed from this spot. (4) AMERICANFIREWATER was a NYSS finalist as a 2-year-old and did pick up a check; clearly he needed that first seasonal start. (7) BOLD AND BRASSY closed well last out at a big price and Stratton sticks.
Race 6
(2) PIERCEWAVE HANOVER gave it a good try but was outkicked late by some classy rivals; a repeat of that effort takes this. (7) FOX VALLEY STEFFEN gets a big driver upgrade to Zeron and the veteran fits with these; consider at 20/1 morning line. (1) ON THE PODIUM returns off a win upstate but it seems like he'll need more late.
Race 7
(4) NIC NAC PATTY MACH picks up Holland as Bartlett opted elsewhere and the mare has raced decently enough at this level to suggest she can take this with the right trip. (6) LEGAL ENDORSEMENT debuts for the Robertson barn off a win at The Meadows but the missed time is a bit of a concern. (2) TRACEY'S DESIRE gets much-needed post relief.
Race 8
(5) MAGRITTE has been great out of town and picks up Bartlett in his local return. (2) MCPHIL ships from Florida and joins the respected Andrew Harris barn; threat. (1) ANDY'S IDEAL has been second best in his last two at this level and he figures to hit the ticket again from this spot.
Race 9
(4) QUEEN JOSEPHINE has been razor-sharp in two starts since moving to the Bucci barn and MacDonald sticks with her despite facing tougher. (7) MANIANA just missed last week versus decent stock at The Meadowlands upon moving to the Burke barn. (5) ANGELS ROCKN PINK has solid early speed which always puts her in play.
Race 10
(6) CULTURAL PARADISE is a perfect 3 for 3 this season with Bartlett driving and he sticks with the DiDomenico trainee here. (2) DAY TRADE HANOVER looks for two straight and he'll never be far back. (3) SURE FIRED BET has been hard to fault for the Harris barn.
Race 11
(1) VALUABLE ART got nipped on the money last week at odds-on; chance to redeem himself tonight, at odds-on. (4) CHEYENNE TRIENGEL held pretty well off an uncovered trip last week and the mare should be in line for a big share. (6) IDEAL PRINCESS is reunited with Holland and they'll be coming late.
Race 12
(6) ANOTHER DAILY COPY was nailed on the wire by a very sharp rival who came back to win; Bartlett will look to complete the chalky late double. (1) AZUL POOL has raced well when drawn inside. (5) ARTMAGIC didn't disgrace himself last week in the Graduate; Bamond trainee can go with these.
