Race 1
(8) ODDS ON MIAMI may need some help from this outside spot but she does have some speed and has been more consistent than most of these. (1) GORDY AGAIN raced pretty well in her career debut at Freehold and perhaps she has the ability to go faster tonight. (5) KEYSTONE KRYSTAL certainly can win this but she has the looks of a horse who will be overbet in this spot.
Race 2
(1) CAULFIELD has been racing very well over at The Meadowlands and he looks well-spotted here. (2) BRANDOS MUSCLE MAN was a good second last week and sometimes will string multiple good outings together. (6) KAPOW returns to Yonkers off an easy win at Freehold and Bartlett gets the driving assignment.
Race 3
(3) FULLBACK hinted at serious ability in the Sagamore despite not posting a win; Vallee charge faces some legit contenders but may be up to the task. (1) STONEDUST has been awesome all year and is a big player but never offers any value. (2) KEYSTONE PHOENIX was a solid second two weeks in a row and finally broke through last out for Schnittker; good matchup here.
Race 4
(8) MAJOR OFFENSE was a NYSS player as a freshman and faces a pretty weak gathering here; top choice despite the eight hole. (2) HANDSOFFMYCHIPS figures to be much more involved tonight. (4) WELL PLAYED OUT ships in from Freehold and gets a nice driver change to Marohn.
Race 5
(4) KEYSTONE NIKKI was on the move and seemingly well-spotted last week when she may have been bothered by a rival; give the Team Bongiorno mare another chance. (7) SPEEDO MISS looks for four straight to start her 3-year-old campaign. (6) IDEAL CLASSIC tired after a speed effort in her seasonal debut; off the pace tonight?
Race 6
(2) TOUREG SEELSTER is starting to run out of excuses but he does draw inside what he needs to beat here. (7) AMERICANFIREWATER raced okay in the Sagamore but is tough to love from an outside post at 6/5 morning line. (5) PEMBROKE JOEY seems capable of landing a share.
Race 7
(4) J T has paid some dividends on that $40K claim and he lands a decent enough post in this competitive affair. (8) ARSENIC drops in for a tag off a series of fine efforts and was Stratton's choice; could be a contender even from the worst post. (2) BEACH MEMORIES qualified back fine after being in distress in his last Yonkers start.
Race 8
(6) AMERICA'S FLEET is a fresh face here coming from The Meadows and he may fit right in; consider including him at what should be a decent price. (2) DECISION DAY steps up after taking care of business upon arrival. (1) JK PRIDENJOY will probably be looking to take this field down the road.
Race 9
(1) JK JAZZITUP went wire-to-wire last week at odds-on and faces much of the same tonight; repeats. (4) D GS ELSA raced well in the Petticoat then had no chance in the final; we've seen good early speed from her in the past and Goodell may try sending her to set up a trip behind the favorite. (3) FAITHFUL DESIRE gets some post relief and may also be an early player.
Race 10
(3) ROCK N ROLL LEGACY raced very well last week after missing time due to a sick scratch; no reason why he can't take this at a decent price with any sort of a reasonable trip. (4) MACON GEORGIA is back in for a $50K tag and he's more than capable of rebounding off last week's tiring effort. (1) WE THINK ALIKE has been in decent form and draws best.
Race 11
(3) BRAVE WORLD seemed to get bottomed out in a very quick mile upon arrival from Woodbine; Allard trainee may be ignored a bit in the wagering off that race and offer some value here in this competitive event. (7) SPORTS COLUMN was going nowhere in a hurry in the Levy; clearly he fits better here. (6) BAMSKI rallied well last week for second and can hit the ticket again.
Race 12
(5) BEYOND DELIGHT powered away in an insane 1:51 4/5 last week; anything close to that effort tonight makes him a winner again. (3) TWIN B SPEED DIAL was a pocket-sitting winner last out and can be close up again. (4) POINTSOMEWHERELSE did good work in the Sagamore for Jeff Gregory; player.
