Race 1
(5) STAND BY ME ships north from Florida to make her career debut and lands midpack in a very questionable field; watch the board for signs of life. (4) MD PLAYMATE arrives from Delaware where she's thrown in some decent efforts. (3) ANNACLOY debuts for new connections now on Lasix and flashed speed in that qualifier.
Race 2
(1) SHEER ACTION returns to Yonkers where he's had success in the past and the gelding draws best. (3) STONEBRIDGE IDOL has likely been facing better out of town; Bartlett drives. (2) FYGI BROS wasn't bad last out and she can land a share from this inside post.
Race 3
(1) HEAVEN'S GAIT served notice in those two qualifiers that he's ready to roll in his seasonal debut. (6) LIMA SPARTAN made a nice move here two back in his career debut and followed that up with a win at The Big M; big threat. (4) UNCLE HAL returns from Ohio off a win.
Race 4
(2) LUCKY SPELL had no realistic chance in a needed start last week and he should be much more involved tonight. (7) AUSTIN ROCKS was a good second last out and did handle the outside post two back at Freehold. (4) SCHOLZ arrives from the Midwest fair circuit and joins the Blumenfeld barn; take a peek here and consider for future races.
Race 5
(5) ANGELS ROCKN PINK backed up in the Petticoat final but she should be able to make her way to the lead from this spot and the mare can control these. (1) FEELIN RED HOT has also flashed good speed in the past and she draws best. (2) TRACEY'S DESIRE qualified decently in preparation for her 2017 debut.
Race 6
(8) SUPER MANNING ships up fresh from Florida and has beaten much better than these in the past; big threat if the intention is there. (3) O U SEXY GUY gets post relief and should be more involved. (1) HOUSE ON FIRE also moves back inside and should be close up throughout.
Race 7
(5) LUCKY PLAYER was racing well prior to her last two starts where she was stuck outside and didn't get involved; this looks like a better spot tonight. (2) SAID IT BEST returns from Delaware off three straight board finishes and she certainly draws well enough here. (1) FAMILY ROLL CALL lands the rail and is logical but don't accept too short of a price.
Race 8
(1) SANTIAGO STYLE was closing very well late but had too much ground to cover last out; he gets a major post edge tonight and gets the call. (7) CLASSY DRAGON looks for four straight in 2017 but needs to overcome the outside post. (4) NURSERY ED hasn't been bad recently; consider for a share.
Race 9
(8) IDEAL PRINCESS was the victim of an awful shuffle last week and finished with pace too late; if she can somehow get involved early from this tough post she can take this. (6) ALL ABOUT MADI has been racing well versus more seasoned foes. (3) FROG POND PRINCESS was aggressively handled last out and hit the ticket at a big price.
Race 10
(1) ARTMAGIC raced very well in the Sagamore and there's no reason he can't win this. (3) BERING SEA HANOVER moves into the Burke barn after taking two straight versus lesser. (2) ITS JUST TOO MUCH was in a good spot last out and rallied well; he should save ground and can hit the ticket again.
Race 11
(3) VALUABLE ART was close at the wire after a rugged two-move effort last week and she can win this with a smoother trip. (1) A CRAFTY LADY also raced well last out spending time on the rim; move inside helps immensely. (6) FREEZE OUT is turning into a quality mare and she must be considered.
Race 12
(2) NEVER SAY NEVER N is perfect since arriving in the U.S. including sweeping the Sagamore; the good times can continue from this inside post. (1) MORE DRAGON rallied decently in his seasonal debut for Burke after having a nice 3-year-old season. (3) RODEO ROCK gutted it out on the front end in last but has some tough foes inside of him tonight; use underneath.
