MEET STATS: 97 - 281 / $477.30 (-$84.70)
BEST BETS: 15 - 23 / $46.00 (+$0.00)
Race 1
(3) AMERICAN ADMIRAL rallied very well from off the pace in a race that was dominated by a 1/9 front-end winner; Andrew Harris trainee gets needed post relied that should get him over the top. (2) MANTARIO hails from connections that are always live with their stock that they ship in and clearly he's a player from this spot. (4) MINNIE VINNIE had a solid 3-year-old season in the midwest; will he be ready for his best off just the one qualifier?
Race 2
(5) CRESURREY doesn't win all that often but he has good speed which can always set him up in a live spot; worth considering if the price is decent. (2) KENNEL BUDDY gave a much-improved effort last week upon dropping to this level. (3) DJOKOVIC N seems to have ability but needs to stay trotting, which has been a problem.
Race 3
(5) HEY SWEETIE sat a nice trip and charged home for the win last week at overlay odds; DiDomenico trainee may be sharp enough to repeat. (3) PONDER THE ODDS crushed more seasoned foes upon arrival and the lightly-raced filly now goes against age-restricted types but she hasn't raced in almost a month; why the missed time? (7) SWEET ANA HANOVER is post-compromised but she does have good early speed.
Race 4
(3) DISMISSAL SLIP ships from Canada off an improved effort and he joins the always potent DiDomenico barn; gelding may fit in nicely here. (5) CHAMPION ROCK was too far back to threaten in his local debut but he closed belatedly; Bartlett drives tonight. (4) KEYSTONE PHOENIX has looked much better in his last three for Schnittker and he may get aggressive early from this spot.
Race 5
(5) WILD WEST has proven competitive with this type and with Brennan on the return drive I wouldn't be surprised to see some early speed. (3) BO MACH was close up at the finish last week and does get some post relief. (6) ANTHEM N hails from Tritton/Stratton and deserves respect but he may have too far to come.
Race 6
(3) SKYWAY QUINTON was hampered by poor cover, launched wide and just missed last week; he now lands inside his main competition and clearly deserves top billing. (4) BORN TO BE BAD missed a nose in his seasonal debut and it's safe to say he'll be even tighter tonight. (6) WHOS BETTER had the tactical edge on the top choice last week but he may be at a disadvantage tonight from this post.
Race 7
(2) ROSE RUN TONI paced a big last quarter to sail by them all last week and now the Lance Hudson trainee gets nice post relief; tabbed to repeat. (5) ELLA IS AWESOME had some very nice efforts in the Petticoat; she's not the smoothest-looking mare but she does have talent. (3) B FIFTEEN has been a model of consistency all year.
Race 8
It's not often you see a horse dropping from the Levy into a Monday overnight race but that's what Linda Toscano is doing with (6) SOMEBADDUDE; meanwhile his effort two back was solid and encouraging. I suppose he has to have top billing. (2) ARTIFACT HANOVER just missed in a solid try last week at 20/1; player. (1) ARAMIS N lands the best post and it seems only a matter of time before we see more from him.
Race 9
(10) LETSCHASETHEDREAMN offered up nothing last week but his prior start was encouraging; Dexter Dunn drives tonight while facing softer and he could be ignored in the wagering from this tricky post. (1) DOCTOR BUTCH hasn't been awful but certainly hasn't been that good lately; Banca trainee does seem to have a class edge on these. (4) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN was used early with good speed and hung badly late; consider here underneath.
Race 10
(4) RAINBOW ROMANCE N went through the motions last week from a tough spot versus better; class and post relief will help his cause tonight. (2) IN SPADES has raced well in his last two to hit the ticket and the Banca trainee looms a big player. (7) MAJOR BUCKS gets class relief but can't seem to catch a break at the post draw.
