Race 1
(1) CHIP STACK ships from Dover for Kevin Lare and picks up Jason Bartlett; that angle worked to perfection the other night. (2) AMATEUR HOUR also arrives from Delaware for Toscano and she beat the top choice last out. (7) GIVE UP THE GHOST makes her second 2017 start for Ray Schnittker off an encouraging effort last week at The Meadowlands.
Race 2
(5) SOUTHWIND ALICE has raced well down at Freehold since moving to the DiDomenico barn and that good form could translate well here going for much more money. (1) POWERFUL YIELD raced evenly at Rosecroft in her seasonal debut and the gelding can certainly build off that effort. (7) MYSTIC FLOWER returns from Saratoga off a nice two-move win.
Race 3
(1) SILVERHILL STORM gave way in his last two efforts in Jersey but was second best from a similar spot here three back; Gingras picks up the drive. (5) BROOKLETS DYNAMITE could have more to offer in his second start for DiDomenico. (6) ANDY'S IDEAL has some stakes experience from last year but he may need a start. (4) TREASURE MACH is clearly the one to catch.
Race 4
(6) COUSIN MARY exploded from the pocket last week and is clearly the one to beat here. (1) ST KITTS was good from the pocket last out and will likely release the top choice and sit a similar trip. (4) MIMOSA PARTY broke last week; prior start was good.
Race 5
(1) NORTHERN SOIREE blasted to the lead, yielded and had plenty finishing last week with Bartlett driving; repeats. (7) REAL DIVA was no match for the winner last out but held for second; Burke trainee has the speed to overcome the post. (4) REI'S STAR CROSS could not overcome an uncovered battle in round two of the series; threat with a covered trip.
Race 6
(2) A CRAFTY LADY was used brushing to the lead and faltered late upon arrival for Allard; mare can be much tighter tonight. (7) ANGELS ROCKN PINK was stung early and prevailed last week as the heavy favorite; mare is capable of repeating. (3) PRETTY REAL DESIRE gets post relief off a nice effort.
Race 7
(2) WILD SMILE returns locally and has had some success for his new barn; veteran could offer some value from this spot. (6) SIXTEEN MILES shipped from The Meadows to the Big M, joined the Andrew Harris barn and promptly stopped; he should be better than that. (1) DREAM ROCKER qualified nicely, draws best and picks up Gingras.
Race 8
(8) TWENTY THREE RED has much to do from this poor post but she may be slightly faster than these; use her if the price is right. (2) FAMOUT PADDY has flashed good speed in all three of her local appearances. (1) HSLB MICHELLE is erratic but does show some closing ability.
Race 9
(1) HEELS ON THE BEACH raced very well in defeat in her seasonal debut and she appears primed to blow these away. (2) FROG POND PRINCESS was very good here last year and certainly needed last week's start. (5) IDEAL PRINCESS prevailed versus cheaper at 1/5 last out; mare should hit the ticket.
Race 10
(2) BERING SEA HANOVER went wire-to-wire last out and can repeat in a similar spot. (3) ROCKET J can go with these but is obviously camera-shy. (1) WAR DADDY makes his seasonal debut off two steady qualifiers at Freehold and he draws best.
Race 11
(5) DERECHO raced well last start but was only third best to a couple of tough ones; Garcia-Herrera trainee clearly looks ready for action from this spot. (3) HAVE A PARODI didn't offer much upon arrival from Florida but he can show more in his second start for new connections. (2) BOTTOM DEALS had a profitable 2016 season for Toscano and we’ll see if he's ready off the bench; I wouldn't accept too short of a price to find out, however.
