Best Bet: NOTABADGAME (3rd)
Spot Play: ROCKIN PANDA (7th)
MEET STATS: 64 - 185 / $315.40 (-$54.60)
BEST BETS: 11 - 15 / $32.90 (+$2.90)
Race 1
(5) ROGUE CHEDDAR was aggressively handled in his career debut and I suppose he can be forgiven for tiring; he may be overlooked here in the wagering and seems worth a look. (2) QUEENACE BLUE CHIP didn't threaten uncovered last week but held decently late; he's got the post edge on his main rivals. (4) CRUNCH gave it a good try before flattening in his local debut for Toscano.
Race 2
(1) ICY IYQ ships from the Meadows, joins the Burke barn and gets a driver upgrade to Brennan; mare may be ready at first local asking. (6) B FIFTEEN is nine for nine on the board this year with only one win however; tough not to include on all tickets. (2) MAJOR MAID moves to the Jenn Bongiorno barn and we all know what that means...enough said.
Race 3
(2) NOTABADGAME looked very good winning last week with Bongiorno aboard and there's no reason to expect a different result tonight. (3) OUR ART AND HEAVEN has hit the board in his last two and lands a decent post again. (1) TEN BEACHES LATER showed some signs of life last out with Kakaley driving and he gets the assignment again.
Race 4
(3) CATCH AN ACE and (2) ODDS ON ASHLEY make a nice matchup here and I believe either has an equal chance of winning; flip a coin? (6) ELLA IS AWESOME has been good but the outside post may limit her to a smaller share.
Race 5
(1) CABOWABOCUTTIE paid a nice price last week when she was both lucky and good; she's back to being the one to defeat here at a short mutuel. (2) BYE HANOVER gave way after setting a hot pace last out but she probably won't have to work as hard tonight. (4) PARKIN IN HEAVEN has rallied well in her two local starts for Buter.
Race 6
(6) ROBYN CAMDEN has been super in all local starts and I'll stick with her despite the clear tactical disadvantage. (3) PELICAN BLUE CHIP should be heading to the front and appears the one to beat. (2) SHES PUKKA N was very disappointing last out and will clearly have to show much more to take top honors here.
Race 7
(3) ROCKING PANDA dropped in for a tag by his low profile connections and was claimed by DiDomenico; he's a must-play off that angle. (5) HEEZ ORL BLACK finds a bit of a better spot here and could be aggressively handled by Holland. (7) IDEAL COWBOY fits here but is post-compromised; price should be decent, however.
Race 8
(2) BLOOD BROTHER has clearly been live since returning from vacation and anything resembling his best effort will be enough to dispose of these. (3) TEXICAN N is still a player at his advancing age for Tritton and he should be able to land a close-up trip in this bulky field. (5) BLAYDE HANOVER drops in class and does have solid early speed. (7) MR D'S DRAGON raced very willingly in his seasonal debut; only problem here is the post.
Race 9
(4) ARAMIS N was uncovered a long way last start and had every right to fade late; Tritton trainee lands a better spot tonight and seems overdue to get it done. (2) WILD WEST moves back in with age-restricted foes, draws well and picks up Bartlett. (1) ALI needs a smooth trip and with late clearance he'll be coming.
Race 10
(2) MISS YOU N faces better now off three very easy wins and Bartlett sticks with her over another very live option. Croghan import seems to have the talent. (5) SOLITARY bounced back from that recent disaster with an encouraging effort; main threat. (3) LINE DANCER moves back inside and will be close enough to land a share.
Race 11
(2) RONNIES ROCKET was decent three back in his debut for the Banca barn then went nowhere in two starts from the eight hole; move back inside makes a big difference. (5) KEYSTONE PHOENIX clearly outraced his odds last week for Schnittker and he should be a good price again. (4) SONG CYCLE SENESE is an interesting shipper joining the Carmine Fusco barn and we'll see if he's capable of going fast enough here.
Race 12
(5) JK WILDFIRE looked good beating a bit lesser in only his second 2019 start and the Brett Pelling trainee seems to have more to offer. (1) ARTIFACT HANOVER was right there two back from an inside post against similar and he's a big threat to land a share here. (4) BACKSTREET SHADOW debuts for the Lance Hudson barn upon arrival from Canada and qualified okay; will he need a start to hit top form?
