BEST BETS: 11 - 15 / $32.90 (+$2.90)
Race 1
(3) QUEENACE BLUE CHIP made his first start in the Garcia Herrera barn last week off a lengthy layoff with Lasix added and blew up the tote board at 60/1; you won't get nearly that price tonight but he seems to have a legit chance to repeat. (1) MARK WITHA K ships up from Dover for Toscano off some decent tries and he should fit well in here. (2) AMERICAN ADMIRAL makes his 2019 debut for lethal connections and that qualifier suggests he should be ready to go.
Race 2
(4) SUPERIORCOURT drops in class off some decent efforts both at Yonkers and Monticello and he may be just a touch faster than these. (3) FLUFF ME UP has been much-improved for Allard since dropping to this basement level. (2) P L KETCHUP has solid early speed for Team Bongiorno and he wasn't bad at all last week at 22/1.
Race 3
(5) MISS YOU N went an eventful trip last out as Bartlett was a bit indecisive but the pacer still jogged in the end; Croghan trainee should win again at a short price. (3) B FIFTEEN has been a model of consistency yet only has one win on the year; looks second best. (1) LEAN ON WHO is starting to frustrate me but she will break out with a big effort sooner rather than later.
Race 4
(2) WILLIE JOE HILL returns locally, now in the potent Lance Hudson barn, so that means Stratton is driving. Pacer draws inside his main competition which will only help. (4) WORKIN THEM ANGELS looked like a player last week but scratched sick. He's right back in so I assume all is good and we'll see how he fits here. (6) NOTABADGAME was second best to a runaway last out.
Race 5
(5) CATCH AN ACE was a pocket-rocket winner last week and the mare hasn't put in a bad effort since arriving at Yonkers; Andrew Harris trainee is the short-priced pick here. (2) CABOWABOCUTTIE tired with no visible excuse last out but she's probably better off stalking, which she will be doing tonight. (7) BYE HANOVER was very sharp in round one of the series; only problem here is the post.
Race 6
(6) PELICAN BLUE CHIP was outmuscled by a good one last week and had to settle for second; Allard trainee looks best here despite the outside post. (2) ELLA IS AWESOME isn't the smoothest horse out there but she's fast enough to win here. (3) PARKIN IN HEAVEN rallied belatedly upon arrival and may be a bit closer to the action tonight.
Race 7
(4) ODDS ON ASHLEY had a tactical edge on (5) ROBYN CAMDEN last week and it played out perfectly as she was able to runaway and hide; same scenario may play out again tonight. (1) SHELLIE DE VIE was an okay third last week upon arrival from Dover.
Race 8
(5) SOLITARY pulled up after stopping badly in her initial start after moving to the Harris barn and burned tons of money in the process but she bounced right back four days later with a good qualifier; assume she'll be ready to go tonight. (6) NEVERFORGETWHOUR may be post-compromised here but she seems as good as these and can get into the number with any sort of reasonable trip. (1) DARK FORCE makes her first start in three months and may need a race or two.
Race 9
(3) HUNDIE N almost lasted to the wire versus a tough rival last week; gelding is in top form now and should be given serious consideration. (2) ANTHEM N charged home at first asking for Tritton/Stratton; obvious player. (1) LLOYD'S ALL IN has looked very good in his two local starts and is in with a shot but faces some tough ones directly outside of him.
Race 10
(6) SKYWAY QUINTON hit town from Indiana, made his first start in almost five months and was a sharp winner over some more established foes; I'm wondering if he can add the early speed dimension to his game tonight. (3) MAJOR OFFENSE gets much-needed post relief and will be more involved. (1) MISS U BIG MIKE was a solid winner three back when Stratton drove.
Race 11
(3) BABES DIG ME has been rock-solid in all starts since the Banca purchase and the 4-year-old looms large again. (2) CAPTAIN DEO tripped out to win last week and the Hudson trainee will be right in the mix again. (4) ROCKIN INTHE HILLS raced well last out at Saratoga and he seems capable of rallying for a share here.
Race 12
(6) TEXICAN N steps back up the ladder off a nice win and the classy Tritton trainee can be set up well here with another alert getaway. (1) REAL LUCKY N went last to first bearing NW10000 types and now moves inside; I suppose he'll be the favorite here. (7) BLATANTLY BEST fits with these but the post is tough; use underneath.
