MEET STATS: 22 - 55 / $116.90 (+$6.90)
BEST BETS: 4 - 5 / $10.30 (+$0.30)
Race 1
(6) LADY ELLA ships down from the Canadian WEG circuit and joins the alwways lethal Andrew Harris barn while luring Bartlett to drive; lots to like if she's ready. (5) MISS YOU N is another Down-Under shipper who will attract plenty of attention but beware one from the same connections last week took all the money and came up empty. (2) ASPECIAL PRESENCE gets some needed post relief.
Race 2
(2) POWERFUL YIELD finished willingly last week with Bartlett driving and now the veteran gets some needed post relief. (1) BETTER CALL SAUL drops in class, draws best and certainly looks like the one to beat. (4) FERRISWHEEL JUNKIE minded his manners and finished with some interest last out; not a bad one to consider underneath.
Race 3
(1) DELRAY DUDE had some finishing pace last outing in a needed start and he draws best in a field with plenty of question marks. (4) POWER DREAMING N was sent off at 2/5 in his U.S. debut and was awful; who knows what to expect tonight. (7) TARAMAKAUREACTOR N is another import who appears capable if he behaves himself.
Race 4
(1) P L LESTER blasted down the road to beat lesser and may be sharp enough to take these a distance for the DiDomenico barn, which has been looking good recently. (2) MODERN ROCK AS qualified well and was Bartlett's choice. (3) NIGHT CLUB HANOVER gave it an aggressive try last week but was reeled in by the sharp winner; Godinez trainee could be tighter tonight and cannot be ignored.
Race 5
(6) COOL BLUES MAN benefitted when the huge favorite broke last week but he still raced well for these new connections and it would be no surprise to see him come right back. (2) OUR ART AND HEAVEN has been in the number in his four starts after moving to the Auciello barn. (1) MISS U BIG MIKE came up a bit flat last week but that was likely a needed start and he could be a bit better tonight.
Race 6
(3) CABOWABOCUTTIE picked up Stratton last week and gave it an aggressive try before tiring; I'll give her another chance. (1) LEAN ON WHO goes second-start for Burke after a tough uncovered trip. (4) SEEN AT RIO DEO hasn't really fired recently for Allard but she seems capable of better.
Race 7
(3) PELICAN BLUE CHIP put in a deceptively good effort last week, finishing well after a shuffle; Allard trainee must be respected off that effort. (4) ODDS ON ASHLEY was ready to go in his 2019 debut and worked out a perfect trip to score. (5) B FIFTEEN almost lasted the duration last out but got picked off by the 1/9 favorite; she's been good in all recent races.
Race 8
(1) ANNIHILATION ships in sharp from The Meadowlands and is clearly the most likely winner here but expect a short price; driver Dexter Dunn has picked up a few local wins recently. (3) RONNIES ROCKET was a decent second off a smooth trip upon arrival and he can build off that effort. (2) IOWA NEIGHTIVE may be a bit tighter off last week's needed start.
Race 9
(1) MALNIFICENT got hung every step last week but stayed on well, only getting beat three lengths; expect a down-the-road mission tonight. (5) LA ALWAYS AMARTINI hasn't put in a bad effort since arriving at Yonkers for Auciello. (3) ROBYN CAMDEN was content to sit in the pocket last week at 1/9 and barely got out in time to beat cheaper; I suppose the import has more to offer.
Race 10
(1) BABES DIG ME goes for new connections now (Banca) and anything close to his usual effort should be good enough to beat these. (5) NIHILATED TRUTH tries better off a sharp win. (2) WESTERN BEACHBOY failed to fire last out, which was three weeks ago, but the Allard trainee lands a much better post.
Race 11
(3) CATCH AN ACE just keeps winning and winning; stick with her. (5) SLICK ARTIST rebounded in a big way last week with a nice effort to be second best and she can offer some value from this spot; include. (2) JAYE'S A LADY looked better at Dover then she did in her last local start; Gingras drives tonight.
Race 12
(2) GALACTIC GALLEON N doesn't have much of a win profile but he lands in a good post and gets a nice driver change to Kakaley; consider using if the price is juicy. (6) LIMELIGHT BEACH is a very classy gelding who has been feeling good recently and he should fit well here at this level. (1) MAGRITTE exits the conditioned NW ranks and we'll see how he matches up class-wise; Stratton's choice.
