Race 1
(2) QUEEN JOSEPHINE gets needed post relief in a pretty soft field and the filly has hinted at enough talent to dispose of these. (4) GIMME SOME LOVIN closed nicely at a big price in her seasonal debut and she can move forward off that effort. (7) SYDNEYDREAMWEAVER has failed at The Meadowlands; maybe the change of scenery helps.
Race 2
(2) HOUSE ON FIRE qualified nicely and looms a big threat on the class drop if he can mind his manners. (1) I LUV BLACKHAWKRED also faces a bit softer for the Harmon barn. (6) BRICKYARD CLASSIC was never given a chance to win last out; he can be a closing threat here.
Race 3
(6) BROOKLETS DYNAMITE ships in from Ohio and joins the DiDomenico barn looking for two straight; consider if the price is decent in this tough-to-figure event. (5) ART N MUSIC arrives from Canada and makes his first start for the Burke Brigade; late bloomer already has two wins in only four lifetime starts. (2) CARLOS DANGER seems way overrated to me; don't take a short price.
Race 4
(7) GURL BAND K and (6) AVA N ELLA both arrive off solid efforts at The Meadowlands and seem to be more talented than what the locals have to offer; use the one that's the better price. (3) REI'S STAR CROSS ships from Canada and joins the Harmon barn; consider.
Race 5
(2) ROCK POWER never got involved last out and was up against a killer the start prior; post relief tonight makes him the one to beat. (1) HIGGINS is speed from the rail and these top two figure to control the action. (6) ROLL WITH FRED returns locally after bring overbet and failing at The Meadowlands.
Race 6
(7) SQUARE DANCER debuts locally for Banca off a solid qualifier and could be ready to roll right off the bench; mare had a nice 2016 season in limited action. (5) PRETTY REAL DESIRE is another shipper for DiDomenico who has been racing well out of town. (3) BIG WHITE PEARL arrives from Ohio off a win but she may need to go a bit faster here.
Race 7
(5) STIRLING ESCORT has not put in a bad effort since arriving locally and he could be set up nicely from this spot with live cover. (4) AZUL POOL had been racing well for Burke and now moves to the Bucci barn via purchase; that angle worked a couple of weeks ago. (2) FEELING CAM LUCKY will save ground from this spot and can rally late.
Race 8
(2) SHANE ADAM isn't the easiest to take on top but he's in decent form and faces some questionable competition. (5) HUSTLING CHARLEY may be fastest here but he's shown some breaks over the half-mile track. (3) VINOVIO lost touch last out from the eight hole; post relief helps.
Race 9
(8) VALUABLE ART has dug in gamely on the front end in her last two local wins and she has the speed to overcome the bad starting spot. (4) CHEYENNE TRIENGEL is always close, but doesn't always win; obvious threat. (2) GIVEMEYOURHEART passed some tired ones last week and now gets major post relief.
Race 10
(3) COVERT OPERATIVE could not sustain a two-move try in his local debut but it was a useful acclimating effort; Noel Daley trainee can be better tonight. (4) DREAMSTEELER and (5) LO RAIL CROSSING are a pair of gutsy claimers and either one could be controlling the action here.
Race 11
(2) ANWAR HANOVER was driven with purpose last week but the erratic gelding jumped it off ducking to the passing lane; he has a big turn of speed and can never be completely ignored. (3) TALK SHOW was overmatched last out and finds a better spot tonight. (1) BLAISE MM HANOVER has controlling speed from the rail.
