Race 1
(6) LADY ELLA behaved herself with the hobbles back on, ran a good race last week but was nailed on the money by the import (7) SHES PUKKA N. These two may be fighting it out once again despite their outside posts. (4) TAKE ABIT OF LIFE likely needed that first seasonal start and could have a bit more to offer.
Race 2
(3) POWERFUL YIELD has been close in his last two but has not been able to break through; veteran trotter has as good a chance as any here. (2) FLUFF ME UP raced much better last week when dropped to this basement claiming level; main threat. (5) CRESURREY has good speed which puts him in play but the Mark Ford trainee needs to show more late in the mile.
Race 3
(2) PANTHER SEELSTER ships down from Canada to join the Auciello barn, which has been very good so far this year. Gelding was Dunn's choice and looms large from this inside post. (6) NOTABADGAME arrives from Saratoga coming off a good effort with the missed time; Stratton picks up the drive. (1) ABRAHAM N was battling on the front end last out but veered in early stretch leaving the course; import seems like a work in progress.
Race 4
(2) MISS YOU N was perfectly handled by Bartlett last week and paid a decent mutuel in the process; she clearly deserves top billing here from a similar spot. (6) B FIFTEEN hasn't put in a bad effort in ages; problem here is the post but she still deserves consideration. (3) LEAN ON WHO has gone three uncovered trips since moving to the Burke barn and faltered on each occasion while landing minor shares; eventually she'll do better.
Race 5
(6) HUNDIE N put in a valiant effort in defeat in her last two starts; he seems sharpest in here and deserves a look in the top spot. Hopefully Stratton can get him away from the gate in good order. (2) MODERN ROCK AS just missed from a similar spot two back and he keeps Bartlett. (1) COOL BLUES MAN was in good striking position last week but paced just evenly; maybe the recent addition of Lasix will help his progress tonight.
Race 6
(2) THE COLONEL looked good last week at The Meadowlands with Lasix added and he ships in meeting a pretty soft field of NW4 pacers; logical selecting here. (3) ROCKIN CELEBRATION goes back to Marohn and he's proven to be fast enough to compete with this type. (5) OUR ART AND HEAVEN seems to have tailed off in his last few after a good start to the season but he still deserves consideration.
Race 7
(3) ODDS ON ASHLEY held very gamely for second last out after getting passed by a sharp rival and that made three consecutive sharp efforts since arriving locally; Alagna trainee should be tighter here than a couple of rivals making their seasonal debuts. (2) SOLITARY looks ready for action first start out after moving to the Andrew Harris barn; Bartlett drives. (5) CABOWABOCUTTIE was turned away after an uncovered move last out but a smoother trip can land her a share.
Race 8
(2) WHOS BETTER finished willingly last week in a much-needed start off the layoff and the Lance Hudson trainee should be much tighter tonight. (5) PROLOGUE had come up just short in his last three but they were still solid efforts. (1) INSTRUCTOR was charging hard to the wire last out and that's two good efforts since moving to the Carmine Fusco barn.
Race 9
(3) RONNIES ROCKET has raced well here in his three 2019 starts and now he moves to the Banca barn via private purchase and returns to Bartlett; gelding seems primed to return immediate dividends. (5) BO MACH is another Lance Hudson trainee who should be better second start out. (4) ALTA SHELBY N has progressed nicely in three starts this season but he faces a bit tougher here.
Race 10
(4) BABES BIG ME has shown plenty of guts this year after moving to the Banca barn and he overcame very tough trips in two of his three races; he faces some tough ones in here but still deserves the call. (2) ARTIFACT HANOVER is back in the NW conditioned ranks after a nice win versus some more seasoned foes and he draws well here. (5) ARAMIS N goes third start out for Tritton and it's only a matter of time before he gets into the swing of things.
Race 11
(5) CATCH AN ACE basically toured the track from post eight last week off the sick scratch and missed time but he did finish with willing pace; Harris trainee seems ready to resume winning ways. (4) MALNIFICENT has been a great money-earner for Dobson and she's in with a chance here but this is a tougher spot. (2) STELLENBOSCH has raced better with Lasix added.
Race 12
(2) BETTOR REASON N had no chance in his local return but now he gets much-needed post relief and could offer a decent price in the finale. (4) VAGUE TRACES took money from post eight in his local return but didn't leave and never got close; he drops and draws better here but will offer no value. (6) TEXICAN N also gets class relief and the oldtimer can never be counted out.
