Race 1
(1) ANIANNE HANOVER ships north from Delaware off a pretty sharp win and she draws way inside her main competition while landing the top driver; clearly the one to beat in the opener. (7) FAMOUS PADDY had good speed off the gate last out and was a pocketed second best; mare fits here. (6) CIRCLE THE PAGE tries the small track in her second lifetime start; let's include and see how she goes.
Race 2
(7) FOREVER AS closed well but got going way too late last out; trotter has a breaking problem but if Brennan tries being more aggressive with her she can defeat these. (5) QUIET GIANT qualified effectively and could be ready right off the bench. (3) FOR YOU ALMOSTFREE is a shell of his former self; use caution.
Race 3
(8) SHE'S SO MARVELOUS is one of a few horses Team Teague is shipping north. This filly needs to overcome the dreaded eight hole but she appears to have some talent. (6) ISLAY N jogged last out in an easy spot; this is tougher but the price will be better. (7) SENSELESS BEAUTY is one of a number of Woodbine shippers we've seen recently and this mare has looked sharp.
Race 4
(1) MAGRITTE has raced well in all three local appearances and he looms the one to beat from the best post. (8) NEVER SAY NEVER N brushed and cruised in his first U.S. start but he will need to generate some serious early speed to get involved tonight. (3) STELLA'S PHELLA never wins but he does draw better and has proven capable of rounding out the bottoms of tickets.
Race 5
(5) MACHAIVELLI was a sharp winner upon arrival and gets a free ride at this level. (2) GAIUS CRASTINUS saved ground and powered home last out; threat again. (4) PAWN SHOP JUNKIE rallied well from off the pace in his last two.
Race 6
(5) WARRAWEE ONYX gets a slightly better post to work with tonight and Dube can have him more involved. (2) ANDY RAY always seem to me that he should be better than he is; tough to accept a short price. (4) PINE TAB is up in class after finally snapping that long losing streak and it was a solid effort.
Race 7
(4) FREEZE OUT has been hard to fault in all recent efforts and she looks best here in this mixed bag of pacers. (1) DANISH N COFFEE and (3) SKATEBOARD CHIC are two move Delaware shippers and either could hit the ticket with smooth sailing.
Race 8
(3) SHOREVIEW bumps up the class ladder off a pretty game front-end win and there are certainly no standouts in here. (1) MAGICAL COWBOY hung a bit last out but was a pocket-sitting winner the start prior; draws best again. (7) VEGAS DREAM held well for second last out after being collared for win honors.
Race 9
(1) ALL DOWN THE LINE had no chance last week but his prior trip resulted in a pocket-rocket victory; post edge should make him a winner. (2) HOWMACSBLACKJACK has faltered in his last two but he gets post relief. (7) MIDNIGHT LIGHTNING draws poorly again but I wouldn't be shocked if he showed more tonight.
Race 10
(2) MADE OF JEWELS AS was a sharp winner off the barn change and she may be able to keep the good times rolling versus tougher. (5) VALUABLE ART went wire-to-wire here two back with Bartlett driving. (4) CHEYENNE TRIENGEL had been knocking on the door for some time before last week's victory.
Race 11
(2) LITTLEBITASWAGGER has been holding his own with more seasoned 'Saturday night' type horses and he should be in line for a good trip from this spot. (1) BALLERAT BOOMERANG looks for four straight pari-mutuel wins and he draws best. (3) FIGHT THE TRUTH ships north for Teague and deserves instant respect.
