MEET STATS: 505 - 1423 / $2,735.10
BEST BETS: 71 - 124 / $229.90
Race 1
(4) MISS MARY MACH gave it a good try in the slop last week upon arrival but was gunned down by a sharp youngster; filly can build off that effort. (1) MAJOR MAID didn't fire last out but the prior effort was decent and the rail helps here. (2) HUMOR ME paced evenly upon arrival and could be ready to go a bit faster tonight for good connections.
Race 2
In a very formless race, (2) EVERYONE HANOVER hit town last week joining the Allard barn and broke leaving; why not give him another chance. (5) REBEL ROUSER also broke late last week while a clear-cut second as the favorite. (1) TRASURE TOM draws best, has Bartlett driving again.
Race 3
(2) EASY LIVIN raced pretty willingly last week given the tough trip and she was a big winner the start prior; major player here with the post improvement. (5) ROSE RUN TONI went evenly upon arrival and improvement can be expected from these live connections. (7) CABOWABOCUTTIE has done good things since arriving locally but she may be done in by the post.
Race 4
(1) BRONSKIMACKENZIE A blew the doors off the field last week and will be odds-on to repeat. (4) CATCH AN ACE is an interesting shipper from Woodbine Mohawk Park coming off of two wins and now joins the Andrew Harris barn; must consider. (3) SHELLIE DE VIE has been racing okay recently and now goes for new connections; use underneath.
Race 5
(3) TWIN B TUFFENUFF was never getting to last week's winner but any effort resembling that one could be enough to get the job done. (5) WILD BILL was wildly overbet two back and got trapped, then had too far to come last week but rallied well; Schnittker trainee is a big main threat. (1) BETTOR THAN SPRING had a broken hobble last week; just throw that line out and the Philly shipper has been looking good.
Race 6
(4) BULLVILLE KARLA keeps Bartlett in the bike and the filly does have some early speed to work with. (1) DREAMS ON ME was a good second last out off of live cover and is probably the one to beat from this spot. (7) DARK FORCE raced well off the sick scratch but the post does her no favors.
Race 7
(4) KEPT UNDER WRAPS A gets needed post relief and Bartlett chose him over two other legit rivals, including a Banca trainee he won with last week. (2) SHOW THE FASHION didn't have enough from a perfect trip off the Harmon claim but he should be a factor again here. (3) DULL ROAR is only eight years old but seems like he's been around forever; Mark Ford trainee fits at this level.
Race 8
(7) SIMPLE KINDA MAN moved to the Allard barn last week, went off as the odds-on favorite and was outbattled by a sharp rival; price goes way up tonight if you want to stay on board. (1) HILLTOP GINGER was a good second versus lesser for his new barn and he gets big-time post relief. (4) HUNDIE N ships from the big track making just his third U.S. start and he'll attract plenty of attention at the windows.
Race 9
(4) LYONS STEEL may not be the easiest to drive but Bongiorno has squeezed three consecutive wins out of him and he may be sharp enough now to tackle tougher. (2) ROCK N BLUE stayed on gamely for second last out after getting passed by a raging rival. (1) IDEAL FEELING was overmatched in the Progress Pace at Dover; this is obviously a better spot.
Race 10
(1) GIVENUPDREAMING gets that all-important class and post relief and will be tough to deny in the finale. (4) BETTING EXCHANGE steps back up in class off a win and should use some of that early speed to his advantage. (2) MIDNIGHT LIGHTNING is tough to endorse for the top spot but he can save ground and land a share.
