Yonkers: Monday 12/10 Analysis

Best Bet: BIG THONG (5th)
Spot Play: LA ALWAYS AMARTINI (7th)
MEET STATS: 513 - 1453 / $2,786.70
BEST BETS: 73 - 127 / $238.20
Race 1
(4) MAJOR MAID held pretty stubbornly for second after being passed last week and I'm convinced the Chiodo trainee fits with these; one more chance. (5) GHOSTTOTHEPOST has looked good in her last two local starts for Schnittker. (2) BEACH JUMPER gets needed post relief in her second start for Team Bongiorno and she deserves a long look, on paper, on the track and on the tote board.
Race 2
(2) EVERYONE HANOVER was outbattled last week in a good try, coming up a nose short; Allard trainee should be able to graduate from this spot. (4) REBEL ROUSER finished well but too late last out; he can be a threat if closer to the action. (5) VIRGIN GOLD tries Bartlett in the bike tonight for the live Andrew Harris barn.
Race 3
(4) BERTHA VANATION was pretty well-meant last out and gave it a solid try in defeat; a similar effort can take this. (7) THORNAPPLE is stuck all the way outside but I'm sure Bartlett will have her in play early; she can be a major player if not too roughed up early. (3) SILK REED closed belatedly last week, now gets post relief and was Kakaley's choice of three.
Race 4
(4) CATCH AN ACE did all that was expected of her last week in her local debut but was gunned down late by the 1/9 (6) BRONSKIMACKENZIE A; maybe she can turn the tables tonight with the post edge. The latter has been hard to fault showing perfection in her last four Yonkers starts. (1) CABOWABOCUTTIE has been right there in all recent and clearly looks best of the rest.
Race 5
(2) BIG THONG had a nice 3-year-old season in Ontario, then shipped down to join the Allard barn and jogged at first asking; filly may have more to offer tonight. (5) LYONS JENNIELEE keeps Jordan Stratton driving for his brother and looks for three straight, but may be at a bit of a post disadvantage. (1) BELIEVE IN ME scored nicely from off the pace last week with Siegelman driving; Dexter Dunn is back in the bike tonight and will probably be looking for a nice stalking trip.
Race 6
(5) BETTOR THAN SPRING looked very strong sprinting home last week and a similar effort should result in another win. (2) WILD BILL has been underachieving a bit for Schnittker; post relief should help. (4) WESTERN BEACHBOY is more fresh stock from Allard who goes first-time Lasix off an even qualifier; take a look.
Race 7
(1) LA ALWAYS AMARTINI had bad luck last week but finished with plenty of pace once escaping a shuffle; filly deserves top billing off that effort. (5) BULLVILLEKARLA made a nice move to take control but faltered late; Bartlett drives again and she's sharp enough to consider. (3) DREAMS ON ME was no good when put on the front end; prior off-the-pace efforts were decent.
Race 8
(2) TALBOTCREEKWHISKEY came up a bit short last out to a couple of good rivals but he should be in line for another live trip and seems worth another try. (5) HUNDIE N was a well-rated comfortable winner last week and should be favored to repeat. (3) ROCK LIGHTS was much-improved recently and may build off that effort.
Race 9
(3) BELLOWS BINGE hit town, joined the Banca barn and was a powerful uncovered winner; he can easily repeat but at a much shorter price. (5) LYONS STEEL has been right there in all recent and has good early speed to put him into play. (1) HEREHECOMESAROCKIN didn't fire enough as the favorite last out but should be in line for another live trip.
Race 10
(3) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN has banked $116K this season but you can make the argument it's been a bit disappointing with only three wins; I'll give him one final try as the year comes to a close. (1) LETSCHASETHEDREAMN scored at first U.S. asking from the eight hole at Freehold for good connections, (5) BUGGER BRUISER has taken two straight off the barn change and he faces tougher here but may be worthy of inclusion underneath at a price.
