Race 1
(2) OUR ART AND HEAVEN flashed good speed and landed board spots in his two local starts for a barn that's been live recently; he seems the most logical in here. (4) TREASURE TOM seems capable of better and having Bartlett driving is never a bad thing. (1) DAKOTA OLE went evenly in his first 2019 start and he should be close up from this good post.
Race 2
(5) CYCLONE MAXIMUS gets a big driver upgrade to Brennan and he looks like a good fit at this NW5000 level; big threat if he behaves himself. (6) CRESURREY has good speed, as evidenced by last week's eight-hole pocket ride; Stratton sticks with him. (2) DARK POOL had nothing to offer last out but may have needed the start; Bartlett drives tonight.
Race 3
(3) B FIFTEEN was very good in victory last week with a multiple-move effort and he may a decent price here trying to repeat against some tough rivals. (1) ROBYN CAMDEN has raced very well in two U.S. starts at The Meadowlands and Dexter Dunn picks up the drive tonight; overbet? (8) ODDS ON ASHLEY seems more than capable from good connections and has the speed to overcome the post.
Race 4
(2) NOBLE WARRAWEE didn't fire at all last week against a very sharp winner; I'll give the veteran another try. (5) SCREAMING CONWAY gets some class and post relief, and Brennan drives again. (3) LATOKA was facing better when last seen locally, and was going at the added-distance; he should fit well here at this basement level.
Race 5
(6) THAT'S AMAZING makes her second local start for Allard off a useful effort; only problem here is the post but she's worth considering if the price is right. (5) ELLA IS AWESOME faced some tough ones last week; this seems like softer competition. (2) RUFFLES FOR THREE can flash some early speed from this spot.
Race 6
(2) TAKETHEMONEYANDRUN has raced very well in her last three local starts and is tough not to include, especially on top. (1) NIGHT CLUB HANOVER qualified effectively over a slow track at Monticello and he showed ability as a three-year-old for good connections. (3) RONNIES ROCKET had been racing evenly at Philly versus similar competition and did go well last out at Freehold; player if he's ready off the layoff.
Race 7
(4) ROCK IT SCOTT is a bit erratic but does have some ability and last week's uncovered effort into a rated pace wasn't awful; Bucci trainee can be considered in this competitive event. (5) I RUN THIS SHOW rallied very nicely from third over last week. (2) ROLL WITH JEFF was a clear second to the odds-on winner last out and that's two good efforts in a row.
Race 8
(2) PROLOGUE dug in gamely to prevail in his first local start and that's now three stellar efforts since moving to the Allard barn; there's some good ones in here but he seems capable of taking another. (5) ROCK LIGHTS has been much-improved in his last few for the Harris barn. (6) BETTOR THAN SPRING has kept up his great form for his new connections and he's a big player here but he's stuck outside what he has to beat.
Race 9
(8) CATCH AN ACE has been so impressive for Andrew Harris that it's impossible not to use her, even from the eight hole. (2) LA ALWAYS A MARTINI was very game in defeat last week, getting outbattled by the invading (4) MALNIFICENT; both have a big chance here.
Race 10
(1) GUNPOWDER N launched off cover to win gamely last week as the favorite for Tritton/Stratton; will the hike in class present a problem? I don't think so. (2) SCOTCH MCEWAN moves inside off an aggressive eight hole try and he's next in line should the top choice falter. (3) HIGHLANDBEACHYCOVE crushed cheaper in a local appearance here last month; consider for a share.
