Best Bet: RANCOUSY (12th)
Spot Play: BULLVILLEKARLA (7th)
MEET STATS: 199 - 975 / $1,504.80
BEST BETS: 25 - 92 / $149.10
Race 1
(3) HUMOR ME has been solid scoring in her last two trips to the post. She can keep on her winning ways if she gets an honest pace to chase. (7) GHOSTTOTHEPOST just got up for win honors last out. Post hurts her tonight but she is very capable. (1) MISS MARY MACH gets serious post relief and that should help her cause.
Race 2
(6) VIRGIN GOLD could improve here is he gets a better setup than he did in his last try. (4) TAKETHEMONEYANDRUN should do much better from the 4-hole and he does have early zip; threat. (5) TAKEHIKO did put in a mild rally for fourth money recently so he must be considered against these.
Race 3
(5) SILK REED leaves the Big M for the half-mile oval and this should be a much better spot for this filly to make tonight a winning one. (1) GORDY AGAIN came close of getting the job done in her latest and she does retains the rail slot; should make her presence felt. (3) B FIFTEEN was facing much better last time out but did not have enough gas in the tank to seal the deal; not out of this.
Race 4
(1) FINE ART moves to the fence and she has the positional speed to work out an ideal stalking trip; looms very tough here. (7) EASY LIVIN took charge at the the three-quarter pole on her way to victory recently; main danger. (3) THORNAPPLE did not have the best of trips in her last try but she could make some noise with a better trip.
Race 5
Based on his last four starts, (1) QUINTSENTIALTERROR is knocking at the door. He has every right to be the boss over these if he brings his A-game to the table. (4) CROSS MY MIND needs to return to his 11-5 start in order for him to have a say; very capable. (5) HES ELECTRIC was sitting a 3-hole trip but came up empty in his recent outing; merits some respect.
Race 6
(1) TWIN B TUFFENUFF finally gets post relief and he catches a weak group of pacers; the one to deny if he is able to control the tempo. (5) INTERNET HANOVER was sent down the road in his Philly finale for the score, so he clearly appears to be a serious threat to the top pick. (6) MOUNT ROYAL was late on the scene to just get up for the victory recently and he should make his presence felt late again.
Race 7
(6) BULLVILLEKARLA was parked-out approaching the three-quarter pole and tired in deep stretch. Mare is very capable of making a quick turnaround with the services of Mr. Bartlett. (1) SUCCESSFUL OUTLOOK was clearly second best in her last try and she does stay on the rail; big threat. (3) LYONS JENNIELEE beat lesser down the road last time out but these might be a little tougher; do not overlook.
Race 8
(2) TELL ME A JOKE moves now to the inside slot and with her tactical speed might be the ticket she needs to make tonight a winning one. Canadian invader (4) BIG THONG took the pocket route on her way to glory last time around; must be respected in this event. (6) BELIEVE IN ME flashed speed in her Pocono finale so there is room for her to improve.
Race 9
(1) FIRST CLASS HORSE moves down in class and draws the rail. If he is able to control the tempo he could greet the camera operator for pictures. (5) BEYOND DELIGHT moves back to Yonkers and did not race badly up north at Mohawk; threat. (6) CANDELL will need a better trip than he did in his last start; possible.
Race 10
(4) LYONS STEEL was sitting in the pocket most of the way and just got up for the score in his last try. He has the speed to be dangerous if he is able to return to his last win effort. Pocono invader (2) BIG PIPE MAJOR is very game and the inside post and tactical speed should translate to a favorable trip; player. (1) SIMPLE KINDA MAN moves back to the rail where he got the job done wire-to-wire two trips ago; watch out.
Race 11
We'll give (2) HURRICANE BEACH a shot to put it all together. Gelding did not get the perfect setup last out but he does know how to win at this level; expecting improvement. (4) HEREHECOMESAROCKIN took the pocket route against lesser company for win honors recently. Fits well off latest despite the move up the ladder; consider. (7) XPERT BAYAMA was completely outrun last out but he is good enough to have a say if he breaks aways cleanly.
Race 12
(2) RANCOUSY moves inside and gets class relief, so that might be the ticket he needs to take these to task if he brings his A-game to the table. (5) PROVEN DESIRE put in a mild rally in his last start; room for improvement. (3) MCERLEAN showed good speed when he took a drop in class last time out; do not overlook.
