Yonkers: Monday 10/9 Analysis

Best Bet: BORDER CONTROL A (11th)
Spot Play: ODYSSEUS (5th)
MEET STATS: 395 - 1117 / $2,157.50
BEST BETS: 55 - 95 / $181.10
Race 1
(3) FOOLISH HEART hasn't put in a bad effort in her brief career and she looks like the most likely winner in here. (5) ST HELENA gets to face softer here, with two Excelsior wins not counting as pari-mutuel, and the Takter trainee is the main threat. (1) SPRING LUCK gets a big driver upgrade to Bartlett but he's 1 for 47 and counting.
Race 2
(2) CHEYENNE REIJANE has faltered in his last two on the front end but won out of the pocket the start prior; I'll give him another chance from the good post. Both (5) ALRIGHT GUY and (3) MARCED MAGIC are coming out of the same Iowa fair races (interesting...) where they have raced well and clearly both merit a look.
Race 3
(2) ABSOLUTELY BEST jumped it off early last week at 2/5; give the filly another chance at a much-improved price. (3) WINDY SPORT folded up badly on the front end last out; clearly the Casie Coleman trainee is better than that and perhaps they have her figured out. (4) QUEEN TO ME gets post relief and was a winner versus similar two back.
Race 4
(2) SOMESLEAZETOPLEASE tripped out to topple (1) GOTTHISONE HANOVER last out in a comparable race at Philly; it may be the same setup here. (6) LUCKY PLAYER rallied well in her first start off the bench and she could spice up the exotics at a price.
Race 5
(2) ODYSSEUS had a useful local debut and now gets post relief while picking up Dube. (1) YOURLIPSTOGODSEARS was a good second last week to a heavy favorite who was supposed to win. (3) IDEAL IN CASH gets needed post relief and should be close enough to land a share.
Race 6
(6) LINDYTHEFOURTEENTH has been solid since moving to the Banca barn with the exception of one clunker and that was a willing rally last out; worth a look if the price is right in this tough-to-figure event. (4) BETTOR'S WESTERN just missed after working out a perfect trip in last and the Oakes trainee could be even better off that effort. (1) OBSCENE BLUE CHIP gets much-needed post relief and was Bartlett's choice.
Race 7
(5) SEDONA SEELSTER was sent off at a big price from the rail last out, got away with a soft pace and prevailed; there's nothing special in here and the Banca trainee may offer some value again. (2) JOHN DALLY returns locally off a sharp score at Philly. (4) HALLIE'S COMET didn't fire from third over last out but his prior starts were good.
Race 8
(4) LAWRENCETOWN BEACH invades locally for Burke looking for three straight and may have a bit more class than likely main rival (2) MAJOR LEAGUER. The latter ships from Saratoga with an impressive 15 for 18 lifetime record and driver Whittemore seems to get along well with him. (3) MYIDEALSON N looks best of the locals.
Race 9
(5) FEEL THE DARKSIDE steps up here to face NW6 rivals tonight for Team Buter but she's looked very good in her last two with Lasix added. (1) WELL WHAT'S NEW has just been racing evenly but she lands the best post with the top driver. (4) REI'S STAR CROSS doesn't win often but she's proven capable of landing small shares with this type.
Race 10
(3) WISHY WASHY GIRL gave way to two tough rivals last week but still stopped the clock in 1:53 3/5; Banca-trained mare may prove too fast for these. (1) I WISH YOU WELL returns from Yonkers after facing some tough rivals in Pennsylvania and Lachance can work out a live stalking trip from this spot. (5) ITTY BITTY looks for three straight but will have to work harder tonight to get it done.
Race 11
(1) BORDER CONTROL A has been rock-solid in two starts since returning locally and the veteran should get the job done from the best post. (4) FEEL THE NEED A battled gamely in defeat last week and the DiDomenico trainee is certainly overdue. (3) GALACTIC GALLEON N never wins but gets a nice driver upgrade to Bartlett.
Race 12
(5) VORACITY has been super in his last two and will likely be the better price of the top two contenders. (3) SOME ATTITUDE has looked positively super in his two Saratoga wins after shipping from Canada and it looks like he'll be the one to catch. (2) ITS JUST TOO MUCH can definitely be used underneath to round out the exotics.
