Race 1
(2) LADY DRIVER shipped down from Canada for new connections and had a useful effort at Pocono; 2-year-old may be ready to show more tonight. (6) COVFEFE moves to the Allard barn and picks up Dube; missed time and outside posts are obvious concerns but it might not hurt to keep an eye on this one. (5) BETTER SPEED has done little in her career but does enter the live DiDomenico barn.
Race 2
(1) MOUNT ROYAL was second best to a sharp winner last week and a similar effort can handle these. (5) FORDHAM SIXTY TWO has raced well here in the past but is just 1 for 21 lifetime; use underneath. (2) TAKEHIKO should be close up throughout but needs to show more late.
Race 3
(3) LYONS JENNIELEE put in a steady effort to be second best in her first start for Cory Stratton and she's been in the top two in all but one start this year. (2) CARLY GIRL lands another inside post and could show more with a smoother trip. (4) PELICAN BLUE CHIP could not sustain a second move last week; can one move to the front get it done tonight?
Race 4
(2) THORNAPPLE put in a nice acclimating effort last week finishing close up and the filly could be tighter tonight. (4) A OLIVEINMYMARTINI came from nowhere and swept the field at 82/1 upon arrival; obviously she will be bet much heavier tonight and she has a big chance to repeat. (3) XFINITY BEACH ships in for Croghan off two good efforts and this barn has been live recently.
Race 5
(1) SANDY'S BEACH raced very well here over the summer and returns into a good inside spot while getting reunited with Sears; lots to like. (2) LINE DANCER has speed, a good draw and the leading driver; logical. (7) POPPY DRAYTON N and (8) SLICK ARTIST A are a couple of talented imports and one or both may try leaving to secure a spot closer to the action; both should be big prices.
Race 6
(4) BRACKLEY BEACH raced very well in defeat last week for a barn that's perked up of late; consider him at what should be a decent price. (3) AMERICA FIRST was intent on the lead last out and staggered home; he seems better off the pace trying one big move. (2) MISS U BIG MIKE always puts in a good effort from inside posts.
Race 7
(3) MODERN ROCK AS looked very good upon arrival beating lesser and I'll stick with him despite Bartlett opting off. (1) SPROCKET comes off an aggressive try in his local debut where he gave the leader all he could handle before being rebuffed; Bartlett sticks. (4) ROCKIN RUSTY moved to the Burke barn last week and raced better.
Race 8
(3) BABES DIG ME got the job done last week at 1/9 odds but didn't look all that great doing it; is he a bit vulnerable? We'll find out, but I'll stick with him. (4) ALEPPO HANOVER returns locally for Burke and he paced a nice back half here last month. (6) ARAMIS N is good and improving stock from Tritton but the outside post may do him in.
Race 9
(2) BLACK CHEVRON N bounced back quickly from that awful effort at the beginning of the month and the Godinez trainee can control these from this spot. (1) FOX VALLEY HIJINX shipped from Illinois and acclimated very nicely at Philly; that form can translate well here. (3) INSTRUCTOR has put in a few uneven efforts recently but the Burke trainee seems capable of better.
Race 10
(6) ODDS ON DELRAY has put in nice moves in back-to-back races and the Alagna trainee seems capable at a price with some racing luck. (1) AVATAR J steps up to face NW8 and does draw best again Bartlett should be set up with a live trip. (7) WEONA SIZZLER A has done nothing wrong since arriving in the U.S. and he'll be coming late.
