Race 7 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool

MEET STATS: 210 - 999 / $1,462.60 BEST BETS: 24 - 83 / $110.00

Best Bet: GIVENUPDREAMING (7th)

Spot Play: STYX IT TO EM N (5th)

Race 1

(3) SODYS MOONSHINE Sharp in his last trip; can boss this group down the road. (8) TOUCH AND GO was nailed for win honors last out; post does hurt but is very capable. (2) LOLAS CRUISER should fare better from the 2-hole; maybe.

Race 2

(2) SOME HEART THROB makes his first try at Yonkers; 5-year-old did get the job done on a half-mile oval at the deceased Maywood Park two starts back; can get it done with a favorable trip. (1) FASTLANELUKE could get involved with these from the fence; worth a shot. (4) DIABANDO might have pulled the trigger too soon in his last trip; could have a say in the outcome.

Race 3

(7) COSMICPEDIA goes for a new connections; was caught for the score last time out; 7-year-old pacer has fine speed and with a fine-timed drive from Sears, he can take top honors against these. (2) HE ROCKS THE MOON Gelding moves to the hilltop off two clunkers at Philly; improvement is expected. (5) WESTERN VICTORY Maine shipper raced evenly in his last one; fits with these so watch out.

Race 4

(5) TRIPLE CHARM put in a mild rally for the show spot last time out at Pocono; seems this juvenile miss could make some serious noise against this group; we shall see. (1) YOU CANBEANANGEL flashed good speed in her latest; retains the rail slot; considered to be a big threat. (4) FOX VALLEY LYN Chicago invader closed strongly to nail down the placing last time around; beware.

Race 5

(2) STYXIT TO EM N very good in his last try to just miss the score by only a length and three quarters; very capable of moving forward. (3) ASTOR gets a cozy post to work with and appears to be a solid contender in here. (4) RANCOUSY was a sharp second three start back; not out of this by far.

Race 6

Maybe the dropdown for (6) TWIN B TENACIOUS will be what he needs to get back into the winner's circle; all systems go. (1) ROCKY MOUNTAIN GUY The rail slot should fit this gelding; led every step until deep stretch and hit the brakes in his last trip; watch out. (2) TWIN B SPEEDO moves down in class and gets post relief; major player.

Race 7

(2) GIVENUPDREAMING Very consistent pacer has tactical speed; leaves the 8-hole for the two slot and Brennan keeps the faith; the one to deny. (5) CAN HE GO does have good early zip and might have been used up in the early stages last week; threat. (3) MARTINI HANOVER could be right in the mix from the 3-hole; don't overlook.

Race 8

(2) TONY CHEESECAKE Even finish last out; if this pacing gelding gets the right trip, it could be game over for the rest of these. (6) FEELS LIKE MAGIC N second best last out for this 9-year-old gelding; has a shot to move forward. (4) SIR RICHARD Z TAM moves down in class so that will help his cause; dangerous.

Race 9

(1) GALLEY WENCH is back on the rail where this sophomore filly was third best three trips ago; have every right to take these gals to task. (5) HEAVENLY BRIDE just missed the victory by only a 1/2 of length last time out; big threat against these. (6) SOUTHWIND MISCHIEF had some trouble at the start last time out but she fits with this group; watch out with Brennan on the return call.

Race 10

(2) CRESCENT CITY was facing better at Freehold recently; this spot should fit this 3-year-old miss like a glove; can top these at her best. (4) MYDELIGHT BLUECHIP rallied strongly to nail down the second spot in her latest; solid contender. (1) ROCK MY WORLD also was late on the scene to grab the show spot in her last try; beware.

Race 11

(2) CHARGER BLUE CHIP gets post relief and that should help this gelding get back to his winning form; is 1 for his last 22 this year but clearly is very capable of getting the job done. (1) ROCK TO GLORY did show good speed last out; good to see Brennan stays in the bike; main danger. (6) BACKUP A leaves the 8-hole and drops a notch for top connections; beware.

Race 12

Will take a shot with (3) HARD TO MACH to put it all together; if you throw out his last clunker, he figures to be right in the mix; consider. (6) MOJO TERROR Philly invader should find the half-mile oval to his liking; did beat open foes at Harrington on September 14th; big threat. (1) SEA STAR should have a big say from the rail; don't overlook.
